Here is a link to the instructions from HP. If you want to see the results afterwards try the free webcam test tool site to see how you look.

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!

A possible solution, from an HP article support article:

Go to All Programs, then Catalyst Control Center then advanced. There are brightness, contrast and color adjustments. Much poking around and you will find a full adjustment panel including gamma.

Try turning the round plastic lens holder, some adjust like that. As for the darkness, that's determined by the lighting in the room. Some cams are better than others, but a lot of them require good lighting. Hope this helps.

Adjusting the lighting

Hi,

By default you will get a webcam software on your computer preinstalled. If you are unable to find the software, then you can instal HP provided free sopftware Cyberlink Youcam on the computer.

If you are using Windows Vista in the computer, you can download and install the Cyberlink webcam software from the following link:

ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp42501-43000/sp42568.exe

After installing the Youcam software you will get the webcam shortcut on the desktop.

Using youcam:

Or you can check directly "Adjusting webcam settings" if you are using youcam software already.

Other person can not see me properly they said they can only see a shadow

sounds like you need to adjust the brightness of the image given by the web cam. Do this in the web cams control folder or software or through Control Panel, Scanners and Cameras applet. This can also happen if you have a strong light source behind you which causes the web cam to react and close its aperture and shutter speeds, resulting in a dark image. Even a window can cause this.

Need to adjust the contrast on my monitor.

You will not find contrast controls for most laptops. This is a funtion that you found on most desktop CRT monitors. However, xp and vista has some features on smoothing and such of your viewing icons in the basic right click on desktop/select properties

HP Pavillion 9925nr LCP monitor turns black

Check screen brightness.
On keyboard is normally activated by combined FN + Fx keys (F9 or F10).
Check your keytops and/or your user manual.
Using this feature you should be able to restore a standard contrast on your screen.
If it isn't working the only alternative is external monitor.
