Question about JBL CREATUREIIWHITE Computer Speakers

1 Answer

Soundcard Hi, Tried them through my laptop and they work. Genius! Clearly I didn't think of trying the obvious. You say I in that case it is my soundcard in the MAC and I need to uninstall the soundrivers and reset. Sadly you are speaking in tongues - I know less than nothing about computing! Can you explain in English for a complete techno dunce?! Thanks so much for your help. Have a great weekend! K8ty

I am glad to hear that atleast 85% of your problem is solved.
Now coming to the sound drivers, when you purchased the speakers you must have got a cd with that.Just use that to install the sound drivers on your mac pc.If you dont have the cd then give me the make and the model no. of the speakers i'll try to find the drivers online and then give you the link.

Have a great weekend.

I have the Genius SW-V2.1 1250 speakers and they have been working fine until I used them on my laptop and tried to plug back into the desktop computer. I can't seem to find out where to plug everything in...

The output jack is usually labeled with a small diagram of a headphone or in case if its color coded then it will be green this is where you neeed to connect your speakers. Also if your desktop have a builtin speakers or any other output such as HDMI There is a possiability that when you unplugged your speaker it has chaged. Navigate to control panel and audio and select the appropriate output device.

My window XP crashed. I have to format the disk. I have AVS500 speaker they do not work any more. I believe i have to install some software/driver. Will you help in this issue? Thanks Zahid

The issue is not with the speakers but with your sound card driver. google search the soundcard for your system, if its a laptop it should be fairly easy by going to the manufacturers website as with a branded pc, however if you have a clone pc made by somone, you need to find out what soundcard you have, the only way of doing this is opening up the box. and looking for the soundcard as a daughter board and looking for the reference numbers or model. if you cannot see one then it is most likely embeded into your motherboard. in which case make a note of the motherboard model and go to its manufacturers website.

I have Labtec 1070 speakers... they work fine on other computers but not on my Dell (XP Pro). Suspect it's a driver problem but can't find a download. Tried Driver Doc but didn't work.

In case you have a drivers' problem you need the drivers for your soundcard (Dell motherboard). So please clarify me your Dell model.

In case of a problem or clarification, don't hesitate to post me a reply before rejecting my answer.

I dont find a download link :(

I don't think there are any drivers for speakers. Is your soundcard working fine? You should only have to plug your speakers to your soundcard and it should send the signal to them.

How do I connect my Logitech X-540 speaker to my laptop an

I just opened my Realtek HD Audio settings and clicked on 5.1 sound.. then assigned the different ports.
Make sure you have the latest audio driver update for your soundcard, and go through the software options, it'll be there somewhere..
If you think you might have a RealTek soundcard, you can find newest Realtek HD audio drivers here:

Has XP support too. Install and reboot, then the 'red' realtek volume icon should appear in the bottom right hand corner of the screen.
You'll find the settings manager in there.

Good Luck

found them at last - they do exist!,CRID=2173,CONTENTID=9817 try this next page (near the bottom):**&p_li=&p_topview=1 It appears that there is no associated software specifically for these speakers, they are a simple jack connection type - if they work on your walkman, but not on your pc then: the jack is either plugged into the wrong hole,or the volume is down in windows or in the application you are trying to hear or both (or on any special non-windows soundcard software).(ask again if you are unsure how to check this). Make sure your soundcard works by plugging in some headphones or speakers you know work. the only other thing i can think of worth checking is if you have used the headphone jack in the front of the speakers - this will cut the sound to the speakers by way of a small spring contact - sometimes this can get stuck open, but obviously not if they work on your walkman. maybe a bit of dirt got in there - just plug another jack in a couple of times to check. Also check if the volume control works fine when plugged in your walkman. Hope this gets you sounds :)
