Remove cartridges first.
Buy an head cleaning kit, or a head cleaning solution.
Squirt a little solution onto the ink pads where the ink cartridge sit and wait for the solution to get absorbed.
After doing this try gently to move the head.
It may not work at first chance do the cleaning a couple of times
If this still does not work, there should be a grey locking lever in the front of the carriage for the print head. You should be able to pull up gently on the left side tab and release the top of the carriage and pull out the head completely. If it does not come you will need to use more cleaning solution.
Once you pulled head out put beck the head in place and ensure it moves smoothly. If it does not, you may need to change the printer head.

How Can I Make My Old Printer Cartridges Work .

87676ee.jpg

Step 1: Remove the cartridge from the computer
Step 2: Soak the tip of the catridge in a luke warm water / If some ink runs in the water, it means that the holes have been unblocked.
Note: I would suggest you to do an automatic head cleaning each time before any printing task. Hence it will reduce the risk of having the print heads blocked by dried ink.

Step 3: Or with the syringe, take in some alcohol and put in some drops in the tiny hole where the ink runs from the ink cartridge to the head of the printer.

Step 4: When done, put the cartridge (only where the tiny holes are found) in some warm water. If some ink runs in the water, it means that the holes have been unblocked.

My printer was sent in for repairs, the person checking it said that the printerhead was blocked and that it is uneconomical te repair. Is there anyway that this can be fixed as I like my printer. How do I...

Inkjet printers need to be used frequently to prevent inkdrying out in the print head nozzles.
If the print head cleaning maintenance routine does not clear the blockages, then print head needs replacing, but it may be expensive.
It may be more cost effective to buy a later model and better printer thanreplace the print head.

Have you performed a head clean? If your printer has not been used for a while it may take several head cleans to unblock the inkjets.

Hello.

Inkjet printers have the major disadvantage of having often having clogged print head cartridges that can be very annoying in the long run. Though advanced inkjets might possess their automatic print head cleaning process, this might not work every time. The problem might be because a layer of

Using a syringe and some alcohol to unblock the holes can be very effective.
Step 1: Remove the cartridge from the printer
Step 2: With the syringe, take in some alcohol and put in some drops in the tiny hole where the ink runs from the ink cartridge to the head of the printer.
Step 3: When done, put the cartridge (only where the tiny holes are found) in some warm water. If some ink runs in the water, it means that the holes have been unblocked.
Step 4: Hence, let the alcohol act for 20 minutes on the ink before putting the cartridge back in the printer.
Step 5: Run some test prints before using the printer normally.

Note: I would suggest you to do an automatic head cleaning each time before any printing task. Hence it will reduce the risk of having the print heads blocked by dried ink.

Hope this resolves your problem.

Dirty print heads that wont clean themselves

That is correct, they won't clean them selves when they get too dirty, trying to clean them from the maintenance in those cases will make the problem worse.

You should get some Magic Bullet solution for your printer.

make sure you watch the "Watch a video on using Magic Bullet to unblock printer heads, see how easy it is to remove even the most stubbon blockage."

My 656c printer, takes the paper, but do not print. plz help me.

The printer head most likely has some dried up ink that is blocking the actual ink getting to the paper. The printer head would need to be replaced or the printer head would need to be cleaned.

here is a solution to getting the printer head unblocked. Its called magic bullet, do watch the video they have on the page for a demonstration.

Blocked print heads

sounds like ink has dried up in the ink ducts in the printer head (due to lack of use)

you can try performing a head cleaning (which should be accessible via the maintainance menus)

if this fails you can try (gently) wiping the print head with a damp tissue to try moisten the dried ink, then try head cleaning again
