Question about Office Equipment & Supplies
A4 is the smaller size ...than A3 ..the digit in the name cames for the number of folding upon a standard size sheet ..so ..if it fits in the scaner ..it will scan it without problems ..You can actually make some trials to see what is the edge maximum ..and so ..but it will work for A4 normal document with no problems ...If you have issues with the edges..use the menu to make adjustments ...also you can use the preview when you choose to scan and save in PDF..and if the maximum size is A3 this means that it should fit 2 A4 documents at once ..and you can even save them separately by choosing the area in preview..to select and save (in the software into the computer ..)
so ..the black edges issue probably came cause the document was too small and the sheet chosen in the program was for A3....When you scan ..open the scanner manager ..and preview the job ..and enlarge or reduce the size of the frame that shows under the document ..this way you avoid black edges and stuff...and Like I said if it fits a A3 map size document ..it will scan 2 A4 at once if you choose the right settings .
I suggest to consult the manual for precise information in this matter .
there it is explained exactly how to operate it ..
