Your phone has become a brick and needs professional attention to restore the firmware. Note that it's not always possible, and on an old phone like the v3 it may be cheaper to replace the phone completely.

How to store music on iTunes?

Some V3i models support itunes, which includes itune application package on the firmware .it allows the phone to sync to you need to update the phone with itunes content or package.if you ask me what to do,it's better to let a mobile technician do this matter of software programming, they will use a gsmgadget and an appropriate firmware with itunes apps package, they know the variety as well as good firmware to load and so to avoid updating problem if you take the risk or do it on your own.

* If you tried to update the firmware with yourself and load wrong file, possible that the bootloader might be changed, put the phone firmware and bootloader to a higher version in which it need a TESTPOINT (doing hardware bypassing) on updating or unlocking in the future as well as when you try to update it with error.

Motorola v3i bootloader only

The device will need to be flashed. It is possible that the internal flash has been corrupted somehow.
In order to be flashed you will need to contact either your service provider (if device is under warranty) or the manafacturer so that they can flash it.

I hope this answers your question.

Help ME!!! V3i dead Now!!!!

Once you flash the v3i to R441D you cannot go back to R397 but if you power on phone while holding down # and * you can go into bootloader mode and then use FlashBackup to re-flash phone with R4441D firmware. I have had this issue a few times and always been able to recover it. If this doesn't work locate someone in your area via google or craigslist that offers Smart-Clip service and they can fix it for you.

Bad battery or bad phone?

Looks like your phone is in 'Bootloader' mode, that's why it shows your bootloader info. Take your battery off for about 5-10 mins, and restart your phone.

this is the programing mode where the software was originally loaded. Try to remove the battery while the phone is turned on. Sometimes this will reload and allow the phone to work normally. If not contact motorola for warranty info.

Ploblem with v3i

No matter which way you cut it, the unit requires a flash. You really should go to a motorola service center, but if you must do it yourself, Download RSD lite and go to and download a monsterpack for the v3i. Make sure you check the version of firmware you are running by pushing * # and send at the same time. This is called bootloader mode. The mosterpack for your v3i will start with R479 or R47A depending which version you have. While the phone is in bootloader mode start RSD lite plug your v3i in and click flash. Should take about 15 min
