The narrow pink line is coming from your magenta toner/drum cartridge. You may be able to open the from cover and look at the 4 toners. If you look at the magenta (like pink) cartridge, you might see the thin line on the drum surface.
The multicolored band that sometimes shows up on your prints is most likely the transfer belt unit. This is caused by an area of the belt that is not being cleaned very well. This probably tends to show up when you are running mutilple prints of a page.
So it looks like to may need to replace your magenta toner and look at getting a transfer belt unit.

Have changed all cartridges but only printing in pink and blue.

check yellow cartridge . Check for plastic coverings that may need removing or could be empty or a blockage . A model number and make would help to narrow down the type of printer you have from the many different types of printers out in thw world.

The auto print head alignment prints ok. The Nozzle check from top to bottom prints as follows: 3eBK ok; 6C top half light blue - bottom half darker blue; 6C ok; 6M top half light pink - bottom half darker...

It sounds like your black (K) or Black/Yellow (KY) head needs to be replaced.
The problem appears to be in the top half of the black head.
Without knowing more (like what make/model the printer is) I can't help more than that.

Help w/ h/p deskjet 3520

hi/....

this is because of the low ink in the catridge. normally the colour catridge contains three colour in it. yellow ,blue and i think one more is pink. so in your case the other colours might have finished. so because of that you are getting only yellow. so please replace the catridge with new one and the problem wil be solved

When printing the sheet of paper has 3 dots on the

Yes this could be the drum.

You could remove the drum and carefully look for the pattern of dots etc that you are getting on the page but on the drum surface.

I would suggest replacing the drum 1st and retrying.

If the black lines are just down one edge then the fuser could be to blame for the black marks but without being able to see the page i cant tell. The drum is certainly my 1st suspect and is easy for you to try.

Despite installing new cartridges, cleaning and priming, my HP Deskjet 710C prints pink only. Using Windows XP test page shows no blue, or yellow.

hi,
do you installing both cartridges (black and colour)?
if you do so, my advice is to reinstall the driver for your printer.

if you install ONLY the black cartridge, and the color cartridge remain the old one, (which in my opinion is the present case), your problem is from the color cartridge.
The color cartridge have 3 colors and this are: cyan (some kind of blue), yellow and magenta (similar with a pink color, but more intense). The problem is simple: in your color cartridge has left only the magenta color, cyan and yellow tanks are empty.

have 2 options:
1. buy a new color cartridge
2. refill the color cartridge.
