Question about Zoom G1x Guitar Multi Effects Pedal with EXpression Pedal
Hey there, sadly my zoom g1x took a fairly hard hit in practice the other night and the rotory parameter switch took most of the damage. The plastic cover came off and the axis of the switch was off centre.
My question, does anyone have any knowledge of this pedals internal workings? Would it be possible to fix, i know i could get into it but would this perhaps cause more damage? The pedal still works but im just not able to change any setting values.
If anyone can offer any advice or has had a similar experiance any help would be much apprieciated.
If the pedal still works, likely the circuit board is not cracked.
The control that is damaged is LIKELY an encoder.
Many of these are made by ALPS, Bourns and others.
You need to open the unit top get at the device.
The encoders are available from either DigiKey.com or Mouser.com
Here is an example page:
You need to match the pinout and part number if you can find it on the part.
