Canon ir2018 error drum is not set, but the new drum is set- what to do

    the old drum unit and the new give me the same - "drum is not set
    insert the drum"
    I don't see what is checking the drum. The expert is say for the black flapper but this is for waste toner i'm thing.

Try few times more, check the drum unit- on front of drum units cover , left side, there must be black flapper with spring and it must move freely and go back to the first position. If you change only drum, but not whole unit check the flapper, I had few times problem with it.
Do not forget to turn off and on the copier.

Call to 1-800-243-0019 Canon ir 2018 system error e007 code means that the fusing film is out of Home Position or the film is ripped. You will need to most likely have the fixing film.

Canon ir2018 error e808 how to clear


To clear the E808 code unplug the machine for about 10 minutes. If the thermistors are bad the code will appear but will not reset until the fixing film assembly is replaced. If you have tried to repair this machine, make sure you have not left the connector unplugged.

hi that errors indicate there is temperature failure in the fixing unit maybe caused by AC energy fluctuations . . . verify energy supply is correct . try to connect the machine in another Ac outlet. if problem persist maybe the fixing heater is malfunctioning

How many copies do you have? If over then 55000 change the drum unit.

But it can also be the laser trouble.

Error code 007 appears on my canon iR2018


Hello sir; You may go to make a reset procedure as follow; press "additional funtion"(*) key "2" and "8" key in order, then sssw will display, press "OK" key, then select menu item 1 using up/down arrow key, select bit switch 1 using left/right arrow key, then change data from 0 to 1 or from 1 to 0, then press OK, press Stop .

Canon IR2018 keeps saying waste toner full


...the waste compartment is same unit in the drum unit...if you know how to take out the drum unit then you can see the waste compartment...but be carefull not to damage the drum...couse its will cost you a lot, the price of a drum is high...and if you can change the blade in the drum unit then you can emptying the waste toner...better call for the expert technician...
