Replacing the tank isn't cost effective. I am the only one I know that repairs fryer tanks. Most cannot be repaired(welded) successfully. If you got 8 years out of it..that's not bad. Time for a new one.

My imperial deep fryer is leaking from somewhere. Is there suppose to be a drip pan?

No, there is no drip pan. If the oil is leaking from the drain spout, you can screw a plug in it. If it is leaking from the tank around the burner tubes.... then you need a new fryer.

Flames coming out the exhaust

Flames coming out of the exhaust can be caused by several things.
The fryer could be set up for natural gas and it is installed on a propane system. The fryer can be leaking oil near the burner tube and the oil is burning causing excess flame. There could be grease buildup in the flue in the back of the fryer from people hanging the baskets in the wrong place.

The front drain is leaking

Hi there.
Check first if there are no foreign objects hangings on the ball causing leak.
If you really need to change the ball valve, cling the jaw of a 14-inch pipe wrench on the neck of the valve connected to the fryer drain and turn it counter clockwise (***do this with no oil on fry tank and make sure that the tank is cold).
Wrap a teflon tape on the thread before installing the new ball valve.
Regards.

Tank leaking oil

You didn't say how old is the deep fryer. There are 3 ways to do this job. A. take out the old tank and weld it ( most likely this is a very unreliable because when you start welding a spot, you may find another one somewhere else, and it never ends, and the welding shop will not give you any warranty for their welding too. ) and it is not cheap on labour alone. B. Replace the old tank from Imperial , They give you 90 days warranty on replacement parts. Please check out the labour first. C. This is the best way replace the whole unit with a new one they give you 1 year part & labour warranty. This is cheap compare with trying to repair the old one. You should shop around before you decided what to do. Good luck hope this can help.

My fryer is leaking oil from the tube inside I have a Master Dean fryers

If you are leaking oil by one of the burner tubes you can replace the tank or get a new fryer. new tanks usually cost around 400 plus installation. Usually better to replace the fryer.

Leaking from oil holding pot

Using dyed water, locate leak(s), go to a welder that does stainless steel and get fixed. If leaks are detected where thermocouples pass thru tank, remove and re-seal fittings.
