C5386 is a High Votage Colour Display Horizintal deflectin Output transistor by Fairchild. You can use C5296, C5148, MP4768, C5297,C12007,C4106,C5404T2062 etc. But if present transistor has damaged, check the LOT before replacing an other. OK.

The number of horizontal output transistor is [TL 035]. If this number is not available, you can use exact substitute after reffering it to transistor data book and equivalents. OK.

The dry solder might be in horizontal section

Check the out put transistor pins / Driver cct. / FBT pins.

check up the power supply is ok /

check all out put voltages from power supply

check horizontal out put transistor and other cct

Please replace bothe the transistor at the same time. Check horizontal output transformer [LOT of HOT], for any defects.. Ok

There is some short circuit in the horizontal output section inside your RCA tv. The blinking of ztandbylight twice denotes it. it may be due to a short in the horizontal output transistor, or defective LOT [Line Output Transformer]. Remove the horizontal aoutput transistor, by resoldering it out. It can be located very near to the above said LOT, screwed on to a metal heatsink. It is a three terminal device usually black in colour. After resoldering it out, switch on your TV, and see whether the standby LED blinks or not. If not, replace it with a new one, and switch the TV for a short time, say 3 seconds or so, and switch it off, unplug it from mains supply, and feel the heat of the transistor replaced. If it overheats, LOT said above is defective, and should be replaced with same type and number. OK.

1. Check the opto coupler in the SMPS circuit. Replace it with
new one. DO NOT SWITCH ON TV WITHOUT OPTO COUPLER.
This is feed back, to the switching transistor to control the oscillator.
2. Horizontal out put transistor going defective.

This is due the failure of diode near the EHT coil primary and
the transistor. The reverse leakage of the high voltage diode can not be
checked by the meter. Hence replace all the black coloured diodes
in the horizontal deflection circuit diodes with identical part no.
Horizontal out put TR will get over heated and will rupture. When you
replace with new transistor switch on TV and switch off immediately.
The heat sink should not get heated or warm up. This is the only way
you can protect the transistor when you replace other components one
by one.

After checking all the small components, finally EHT coil.
