I purchased a used Jenn air CG206B cook top and the packaging was bad. The gas valve as well as the knobs were broken. We replaced the knobs and 3 burners work fine. The front left valve was broken. We bought the replacement part and need some instructions for replacing this. We are electrically and mechanically good with things and plumbed the house for gas. We would just like some instructions before we dive into this repair...or call a repair man. Thanks you, Lynnae

one thing to be sure is there power to the range. if you can light the burner with a match your gas is good, If all burners are affected it can be a broken wire, power source, or spark module.
always unplug electricity before attempting to repair on any electrical appliance
if you mean the switch under the knob, you can open up, drill, the switch and clean up and use it again, uless the copper parts are burned out.
to get to the switch, most likely have to unscrew all the screws holding the top and the bottom together, most likely the screws will be on the top, by the gas burner on each burner. and may need to check the sides for additional screws .
if you go step by step , its pretty easy. maybe you should look up on you tube for demo.
OK, the best action is to call for service, if the unit was just installed, and purchased. This unit should be covered at this time, by the manufactures warranty, or store 30 day warranty. This repair should be free. The culprit will be a faulty spark ignition switch, and module. Testing is required. Once this switch, or(module), is replaced, the unit will operate correctly.
