My Lenovo 3000 n200 0769-bng fails to reach Windows, instead, its recovery tool appears. Anyway, when I ran one of the offered tools, a "PC Doctor for Rescue and Recovery" tool, everything passed except for SMBIOS Standard Test, which failed. Any suggestion?

Re: lenovo fails to launch Windows, smbios failure
sounds like you may have a corrupt Bios.
Locate the manufacturers site, via another computer.
And see if they have a bios update to download.
*****Be careful, An unsuccesful bios Flash may render Your Computer Useless*** If you can enter bios at startup, find the page which allows you to restore setup defaults, save and exit to cmos.

If your experiencing multiple issues on your computer it might be system has a faulty hardware or just has corrupted drivers. I will recommend one best way on how to determine if these issues are hardware or software failure, the One Key Recovery. OKR or what we called One Key recovery is one of the best tool that could bring back the default factory setting of your computer. It will also gives you a fresh copy of the operating system and drivers.
Installing the software for your Lenovo 3000 Y410's web cam is easy. You can do it on your own in less than 5 minutes and I can help you with that. Just simply follow the steps below:
Go to this link to get the software directly from Lenovo's website.
You'll be directed on a page where you can see all the drivers and software for your Lenovo 3000 Y410. Kindly look for Software.
Underneath you'll see the web cam software for Y410 specifically for Windows Vista 32bit Operating System.
The name of the software is EasyCapture, kindly click on that.
Afterwards, click on download here.
Wait until the donwload is complete, install EasyCapture.
When the installation is complete you'll need to restart your computer.
Before launching the software for your web cam just make sure that camera is enabled so press Fn + Esc. An icon of a camera will appear on the lower right side of your screen, if the one that appeared has a slash at middle of the camera it means camera was disabled so make sure to press Fn + Esc once again.
Try to use the One Key Recovery if still fails contact LENOVO Warranty Support Department, check if the machine is still on warranty for depot so that you can send it for repair via Fedex free of cost.
Try launching the One Key Recovery program. 1. Back up all files that you wish to keep from the C: drive 2. Turn off the computer (no flashing lights). 3. Press the Lenovo Care Button (small button with upside down arrow or word NOVO written on it). 4. Select System Recovery (very much different from the above mentioned System Restore). 5. Select to restore to factory default settings / initial settings.
you have a hard drive failure. i suggest you take the drive out. if you can. attach it to a usb to sata if possible and run a diskchk and before you do that you can backup docs to the machine you got it attached to. If you are not getting a windows option in anyway shape or form you have a hard drive failure which is why it does not give you any options.
