Question about Thermador DW44Z Built-in Dishwasher
Before you trash your current dishwasher, check for a plastic spoon, tupperware lid or anything at all on the heating element. The heating element is used to force dry your dishes. The heater element is located at the bottom of the dishwasher and easily visible under your lower rack when you have it pulled out to the loading position.
It is not unusual to have something get against the heater element and melt or burn slowly in two while dishes are drying.
I hope this helps.
