I have a password problem on my laptop, but not window password it board password please help my out.

If you are talking about the password that is just ask when the comp starts....You can try this...

The power-on password prevents use of the computer until the password is entered. The
setup password prevents unauthorized changes to Computer Setup. To clear the
passwords, you must remove all power from the system board. If you do not know the
passwords, use the following procedure to clear the password:
1. Remove all battery packs.
2. Disconnect the AC power.
3. Remove the real-time clock battery.
4. Wait thirty minutes.
5. Reconnect the AC power. DO NOT INSTALL THE BATTERY!
6. Restart the computer. During Power-On Self Test (POST), a â 162 System Options
not setâ message appears.
7. Shut down the computer, then disconnect AC power again.
8. Replace the real-time clock battery.
9. Install the battery pack(s).
10. Reconnect the AC power.
11. Start the computer.

D2d recovery miss, in my hd, what I do?

If the computer you are recoverying the Operasting System on does not have an internal optical drive an external USB optical drive will be required to use the Recovery Media.
  1. If applicable, ensure the external USB optical drive is properly connected to the computer and powered on.
  2. Power on the computer.
  3. Press the F2 key to enter BIOS Setup during Power-On Self-Test (POST while the Acer logo is being displayed).
  4. Using the keyboard arrow keys, arrow over to Boot.
  5. Refer to on screen instructions to set the first device to CDROM or USB CDROM.
  6. Press the optical drive drive eject button and insert the System CD.
  7. Close the optical drive tray.
  8. Press the F10 key, and then the Enter key to save the changes and restart the computer.
  9. The computer will boot from the Acer Recovery Media, follow the prompts to reinstall the Operating System.
Note: If you do not have a set of Acer Recovery Media they may be purchased at our Acer Recovery Media Order Form.

Drivers for Acer products may be found on the Acer Product Support. Search for the product and download the drivers.
Alternatively, the factory installed drivers and applications can be re-installed by using Acer eRecovery by following these steps:
  1. Click Start, and then All Programs
  2. Click Acer, and then Acer eRecovery Management
  3. You may be prompted to enter or create a password. This password will be required to use eRecovery in the future.
  4. In the next window on the left toolbar, select Restore.
  5. Choose Reinstall Drivers or Applications
  6. Choose Contents
  7. Choose the driver or application you wish to install
  8. On the right, click the Install link and follow the prompts.
  9. The computer may restart when installation is complete. If it does not restart, manually shutdown and restart the computer.
Note: For older Acer products, the Acer eRecovery Management program may not be available.

I have a Gateway computer running Win98 that prompts me for a password at startup. It didn't use to do this, so I don't know what password it is asking for. Never used one! It is doing this after a power...

Somehow, the motherboard thinks that a "start-up" password is required.

If you have a desktop computer, turn the computer off, open the case, and look on the motherboard. Look for three pins (labelled 1, 2, and 3), and look for a small "jumper" that is connecting pin 1 to pin 2. Move the jumper to connect pin 2 to pin 3. Wait 5 seconds.
Move the jumper back to connect pin 1 to pin 2.
Turn the computer on -- the "BIOS-password" will have been removed.

I have an old school pc it is an emac and need an password for it can you break it

In OS X, if you're the administrative (or only) user, you can reset the admin/user password using the OS X installation disk #1. Put the disk in the CD drive & restart the eMac while holding the "C" key down (Restart is also on the Apple menu, top-left corner of your screen). When the Installer opens, click "Utilities" then Restart. When the Installer asks you what language, pick one (maybe English?) 8¬), click continue (arrow) then Utilities again & choose "Reset Password"; the system will guide you through the steps. Once you've reset the user password, restart the eMac, then you can log in using the new password. You'll probably want to reset your "Keychain" password to match your new login password – otherwise it'll ask for your password every time it needs one for a program. "Keychain Access" is in the 'Utilities' folder, which is inside the 'Applications' folder.

—> Important: if the old Users Home Folder was encrypted ("FileVault" protected), you'll need the old user's password, or the eMac's Master password to access the files in the Home Folder – otherwise, the Home folder's files will be lost. As a new user, you'll have your own Home Folder & access to all application programs.

Audio device is basically not recognizable...driver won't install

Unplug power take the main batter out of the unit. Then hold the power button in for 1 full minute. then put the battery back in and plug power back in and turn on the computer. See if you have sound. If not go to Device manager and see if it shows up under Sound and Video. Should be something like HD Audio. if not the go to ad and remove program and remove sound driver and reboot. Got to http://support.dell.com and download the Audio Driver and install it.

Booting up Windows after a Power Outage

That power outage probably damage some sectors of your hard drive, or corrupted some files that Windows need to boot up.
You need to install the Windows installation CD, and press R after the Welcome Setup screen.
Once there, it will should you the available drives and partitions.
If you have a computer set up like most people, you need to press 1
Then Windows will ask for the Administrator's password.
If you have no password, just press Enter.
Once on the C:/ prompt type the following
CHKDSK /r
To perform a check disk, and repair any errors on the hard drive.

The process take some time, but at the end, Windows will start up.

Problem with AVAYA ACS R 7.

Parviz3,

This unit sounds like it is like a computer that loads the program everytime it is turned on. When I am working on HD Video and I don't want to loose all the work I have been currently working on due to power outages, I put a UPS Battery Back up system on it that is capable of keeping my computer on for at least 30 minutes while things are being worked out.

This would be my suggestion for you. Buy an independant Battery back up power supply unit from a local store and be sure to get a medium sized one. I assume this phone system uses very little amperage and with such a battery back up system would stay on for days when your power is out. That would be the easiest solution and less time consuming for anyone at this point.

Apple Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger

Is it asking for a a keychain password or just the regualar password you may have to reset your password if its the regular password, and you just need to put in the 1st operating disc that came with the computer and hold down the C key when you hear the sound and hold it down till you see the apple symbol, then when it boots up select english and then the next one go to the top of the finder and click utilities and then change the password, then save everything and then quit the password changer and then quit the installation and then restart the computer.

the easiest option will be to do a system restore to before the outage; Start/All programmes>accessories>System Tools>System Restore. Then choose restore my computer to previous settings, then choose a date that is not greyed out. Hope this sorts it Please rate solution
