The Altec Lansing A425 doesn't appear to have a fuse. Check for a circuit breaker on any surge protectors it might be plugged in to and make sure they haven't been tripped. Confirm that the power cord is firmly plugged in. Additionally, you could check the wall transformer with a multimeter to make sure it is providing the correct voltage needed by the speakers. Check the back of the subwoofer for a hidden power switch. If everything is plugged in and turned on, but you still don't have power, you will either need to open the device up and troubleshoot it or replace it.

Where is fuse in velodyne dps-12

Just a guess, but the drawing in the manual shows a fuse rating of 2 amps where the power cord enters the box. Is this a combination fuse/connector. Have you looked if the rocker switch accommodates a fuse? Sorry if no help.

KLH ASW8 Powered subwoofer keeps blowing 3A-250V fuses

The transistors at the output stage of the sub amplifier circuit might be shorted so each time you power on, the circuit draws a very high amount of current which causes the fuse to blow. It's definitely a problem with the circuit so using a higher current rated fuse would probably just result in damaging the amp even more. You should ask a qualified electronics technician to take a look at it. I hope you can fix it.

Somethings shorted inside. Could be the output IC or transistor, diod in power supply, power transformer. Somebody will have to open it up to find out.
It could be a cheap fix like a couple $4 transistors or it could be expensive, like a

Can I plug 5pc home theater speakers directly into pc tower or will I fry something? The speakers (made by LG) R from an old Sanyo DVD/VCR/Audio Home Theater System which no longer works. Home Theater...

Attaching speakers to an under-powered amp won't DRAW too much power. And we're not talking about an amp here, we're talking about a PC which can
only provide enough juice for headphones. All it provides is Line Level (millivolts) output for an external amp to process.

The speakers are NOT self amplified. If they were they'd have batteries or wall power cords and RCA style input connectors.

What you will need is a replacement for the dead Sanyo electronics that can handle 4-ohm speaker loads. Then you can draw the output of your soundcard into IT with RCA cables..

Their is power in the fuse and in the power line but unit wont start is their an internal fuse or am i missing something

Hello paul543,

First check all the fuses. The primary and any onboard fuses.

Then, in addition to the power wire, check the ground and make sure that there is +12V on the remote turn-on terminal when the head unit is turned on.

Hope this helps

Fuse on subwoofer keeps blowing

Subwoofers draw a tremendous amount of power. With the amount of heat generated by amperage flow and the movement of the voice coil, you may have burned out the coil. Do a resistance check across the coil. Easy check? Temporarily attach another speaker to replace that one. Use LOW VOLUME and slowly work the vol up,and, if the fuse does not blow, it's the other speaker.

The power supply switching transistors are likely fried. Dangerous high voltages involved. I would remove the plate and send it to Klipsch for repair.

No power

Just call JBL parts.  They'll mail them to you.  Around $2 per fuse (two per speaker)
