Question about Apple iPhone Smartphone

2 Answers

Unlocked iphone just received my new unlocked iphone. right away i had problems getting it to engage but finally after rebooting it worked long enough for me to sync itunes, photos, and my address book but then it began to randomly cut off. after that i'd get a green screen and sometimes a flashing white screen, then the silver apple screen but nothing else. finally it connected again and last night i listened to the ipod for a few hours and made some adjustments to the settings. i put it to sleep and charged it overnight and this morning it seemed fine but as soon as i tried to input a weather location it blanked out again. now its back to the flashing screens and frozen apple. it seems that everytime i try to use wifi or edge it cuts off and it even seemed to have a glitch when i attempted to insert a sim card. its 1.1.4. are many people having problems with this grade and should i downgrade to 1.1.3?

i tried to restore the phone for two hours but the unit won't stay stablle for the 2 minutes it takes for the restore to take place. the screen flashes in and out so much that the restore can't take place. i keep getting error messages. Is it possible that the unlock software is corrupting the Iphone software?

I think you can solve the problem by restoring 1.1.4 again. an app might be the reason. first download ziphone 3.0 the last version, then restore 1.1.4 and click do it all. read at first how you must restore. ziphone tells everything you need at read me files.

i didn't hear a problem like you tell. i don't know much about. it might be battery problem or you must full charge before restore and i think you've already done that.

How to copy my ringtones from iPhone 6s to iPhone 7 Plus?

When you want to transfer ringtones from old iPhone to new iPhone, you will come up with the sync problem when using iTunes. iTunes provides a "Transfer Purchases" function for the you to transfer purchased items back to iTunes library, but the customized ringtones cannot be transferred back. If you are not sure about how to use the "Transfer Purchases" function of iTunes, check out the following tutorial.

1. Start iTunes, and go to "Edit > Preference > Devices". Check "Prevent iPods, iPhones and iPads from syncing automatically".
connect iphone to itunes.
2. Connect your old iPhone to PC via USB cable, then double click on the iTunes icon to launch the iTunes app on your computer if it did not start automatically when your iPhone is connected to computer.
3. Click "File > Device > Transfer Purchases" at the upper corner. Then click "Apply" at the right bottom. iTunes will automatically sync the transferred items to iTunes library, and the purchased ringtones will be transferred back as well.
4. Then disconnect the old iPhone from computer. Connect your new iPhone to iTunes following the step 2. Click on your iPhone, click the "Tones" to open the ringtones tab. Check the box for "Sync Tones" and then check the boxes for the ringtones you want to sync. There are 2 options avaliable, check "All tones" to choose all the ringtone files to sync, or check "Selected tones" to select the specified ringtones that you want to transfer. Finally click "Sync" button in the bottom right corner of iTunes, it will start transferring ringtones from iPhone to iPhone via iTunes. The synced ringtone files will appear on your iPhone as a ringtone automatically.

If you want transfer customized ringtones between 2 iPhones, you may need a 3rd party tool on your computer. Feel free to read the following tutorial for details.

How can I unlock a passcode?

If you repeatedly enter the wrong passcode, your iPhone will be disabled for longer intervals before you can try again. After too many unsuccessful attempts, you won't be able to try again until you connect it to the computer with which you last synced it [if it has been synced to a computer].
Note: You can configure your device to erase itself after ten consecutive incorrect password attempts. This setting is off by default. It can be turned on by tapping Settings > General > Passcode Lock.
If you cannot remember the passcode, you will need to restore your device using the computer with which you last synced it [or iCloud]. This allows you to reset your passcode and resync the data from the device (or restore from a backup). If you restore on a different computer that was never synced with the device, you will be able to unlock the device for use and remove the passcode, but your data will not be present.
Please also note that Apple representatives can't unlock an iPhone for you without restoring the iPhone, either. The restore process will erase everything on it.
Apple's official instructions to restore an iPhone with iTunes are:
  1. Connect your iPhone to your computer [that you have previously used to sync the device].
  2. In iTunes, select the iPhone in the "devicess" list, then "Summary" at the top of the screen.
  3. If iTunes doesn't automatically synchronize your iPhone, do so manually [and confirm that the sync and backup were successful.]
  4. Click "Check for Update." iTunes tells you if there is a newer version of the iPhone software available.
  5. Click Restore. Follow the onscreen instructions to complete the restore process. When restoring, it is recommended that you [again] backup the iPhone when prompted.
  6. When iOS Setup Assistant asks to set up your iPhone, choose "Restore from iTunes backup."
  7. Select your device in iTunes and choose the most recent backup of your iPhone.
After this process, your iPhone should be restored with the information from its last backup, but it no longer will have the passcode enabled. It would be wise to think carefully before setting another passcode or using the passcode feature again.

I found a ipod 8gb it already had a unlock code in it. i don't know the code what can i do

Normally if you don't know the unlock code it's because you forgot it, and you can simply connect the iPod to the first original computer that it synced with through iTunes, and it will unlock.

However, since you don't know the code because you found it, the only way to get past the unlock screen is to restore the iPod. This deletes all of the data on the iPod. So, if you are seeking to return the iPod to it's owner, you may not be able to as the owner information/address (provided there was any) may be deleted.

To restore it iPod, do the following:
1) Connect the iPod to your computer running iTunes with a sync cable
2) Click "Restore"
3) The iPod will reboot once it is successfully restored, allow it to reboot

In iTunes, notice at the left the icon of the iPod. If there was a backup made of this iPod prior to the restore, you may be able to right click that icon and choose "Restore from backup".

I have an iphone 3G 8GB and it is only a month 1/2 old, ever since i got it it has been freezing, when i get calls it will freeze and go black so i cant hang up, then goes away a short time after pressing...

The Apple store should replace it because it is under warranty, dont worry about that. But try syncing with iTunes to backup your essential data, then check for any software upadates, and update. If this doesnt fix it, try a restore.

If none of the above sorts the problem Apple will almost certainly replace the phone as it is not fit for the purpose for which it was sold. Statutory rights also apply to mobile phones.

Hope this helps

IPhone 2G hangs at "slide to unlock" - restore not helping

2g solution

3g solution

if it still gives you problems then you have a hardware issue, apple won't touch a jailbroken iphone so hopfully you have the apple care protection. Restore it to factory settings and try to take it in for service.

I have an iphone that does this at times too! I have to reboot it periodicly, seems more often when I use it a lot. I have found several issues with winterboard and plugins for it to cause some of my problems. might try changing your screen to normal and see if it still acts this way.
