Reinstall firmware Not able to download form Napster or any other site and not able to reinstall frimware

If it is still under warranty, you should send it to Creative and they can fix it for free or it will cost you very little if you just send it to them.

Seeing as you can't even download, you will need there help most likely since you should be able to download. They will need to probably work on it themselves, please contact them and I'm sure that they will tell you to send it in. Here is the number Tel 1-405-742-6655

You need to reinstall firmware,
here you can download firmware for your phone:

20050324100034734_FW_YH925.mi4

to Firmware upgrade.

1) Download attached file to your PC
2) Connect MP3 Player to PC with USB cable
3) Excute Recovery Utility (See Instruction Guide)
4) Excute Firmware upgrade

Lost factory settings - sample pictures, videos and music


You have a disk which came with the MP3 Player.
the disk contains the relevant software.
the device uses windows media player 11
You can follow this link to download a compatibility program for windows vista.
also any drivers necessary to reinstall the software.

1 way is to let windows re-format it.
Plug player into usb of computer.
open up mp3 drive. click on tools.
have windows re-format it.

2. Download firmware http://www.sandisk.com/Retail/Default.aspx?CatID=1449
download the new firmware and check the box that says reformat
data area.

Refresh database wont go away even if I turn it off and then back on

HI I HAVE THIS UNIT AND IT WORKS FINE ON WMP9 CONNECT TO INTERNET AND DOWNLOAD WMP9[WINDOWS MEDIA PKLAYER 9] FROM MICROSOFT SITE THEN RE INSTALL DISK FOR YH920 BUT NOT NAPSTER SOFTWARE THEN RUN UTILITY FOR DEVICE FIRMWARE REPAIR GOOD LUCK IT DOES WORK

Firmware problem


To Fix any problems with broken firmware form attempted "playsforsure" firmware updates etc where your pc finds it as a 20mb drive and it sits in recovery mode and does bugger all: (fix courtesty of cinderlee in creative forums) 1. Uninstall all creative software & drivers 2. Uninstall Media Player 11 and Media Player 11 runtime (will require a reboot for each thing). This is done by going to add/remove programs and uninstalling (this will put your pc back to wmp10). 3. Re-install the Zen Driver from the creative website and reboot 4, Plug Zen in. 5, Make sure you have the firmware update ready, run it but don't click the language bit yet), leave the mouse hovering over your language selection. 6. On the Zen- select "reload OS" 7. As soon as it flashes up "reload new firmware now via USB" click the language button 8. Tada, now the pc should find it and allow you to re-load the firmware. (it may take a few attempts) 9. Once complete, click close and restart the pc. Everything should now be fine. 10. once you are happy you can re-install WMP11 and it will work fine. Cheers!
