It is not just the cable, it is the signal out from turntable that is dangerous from your phone. If you connect the turntable straight to your phone using the turntaple regular audio output, you have a good chance to blow your phone, because of the phone input impedence.

Your turntable should have an headphones jack plug output. You can build a cable to connect from turntable headphones out to your phone. This should be quite safe.
An alternative is to pass turntable signal through a computer and connecting the computer output to your phone.

Use your phone headphones cable if you can. For example Sony ericcson have a phone jack adapter , ending with a female, if your phone do have such a cable then use that one, otherwise cannibalize a pair of headphones for your phone and build the cable. The preamped signal from your headphones jack should not be dangerous, his maximum power is far less that any amplified signal coming from the finals .

The TV is irrelevant.

BD would need HDMI, digital audio or 5.1 analog inputs on the contol receiver. You have none of these.

Sherwood model RV 5050r - tuner is not holding radio frequencys in memory when the main switch is turned OFF and ON again. Is there a battery that needs replacing or a chip?

Try looking for one of these Memory Retention Capacitors, they cause a lot of trouble like that. It will be in the tuner section somewhere if it uses one. It could look a bit different to this one, so bare that in mind.

Technics turntable plays but no sound with Sherwood receiver

The problem is the fact that the new receiver has no phono input. The phono input has an extra stage of amplification built in. Your receiver is working fine. You need to purchase a phono pre-amp. These run around $20. Connect the turntable to the preamp and the presmp output to any line level input on your new receiver and everything will work as expected.

Sherwood RX 4105 no input for a turn table

Check for a line level switch on the turn table, it may be under the turn table itself lift the rubber mat and spin the table by hand, it may not have one or it could be on the back.
You can buy a phono amp that will boost the phono signal. Check at Radio Shack or google it.

Try these simple trick to find out yor remote control working or not....
Point the remote control towards the Camera of a Mobile Camera phone, with the camera on. While pressing remote, we can see a light (Infra Red) coming from its IR LED through the Mobile Camera if the Remote is working.
If the remote is OK, then the problem with the Remote Sensor or related components of the receiver.

You need a phono pre amp to plug onto the phono leads of your turn table then into any input on the amp.A Turntable has a much lower output than cd or any other device so needs to be boosted, when you pluged it in I bet the sound was awfull.Buy the best phono stage you can .
hope this helps.

What to use for Audio-out on Denon AVR-2807?

Hi Karmor

Use the Tape Out(rec) connections on the Denon. If that model has a rec out selector, then be sure to select phono as well. All sweet and ready to rip them files!!
