What happened there is that the software of the MP4 got corrupted. It seems like you unplug the MP4 without safely removing it.

The only thing that you could do is to contact the manufacturer and have them reformat the player. They will just re-install the software and upgrade the firmware.

NOTE: Please bear in mind that all the files will be deleted.

Thank you and good luck!

If the CD contains the current firmware, YES, you can use the CD, then connect your player to the computer.

Refer to the user manual, because the manual will tell you where you can find the firmware in the CD. Then you have the run the firmware pointing to the MP4 player.

    Then that should do it.

    Thank you!

Thanks. But it is in Chinese and I can only tell it is to format and don't know how to make my pc see it because right now when I plug USB in my PC doesn't see it.

If the computer can no longer see the player, I'm regretfully informing you that the problem is not ONLY the software, the internal or built-in memory is no longer working correctly as well.

If it's only the software, the computer should be able to detect the player. And since it's not detecting it, you need to send it to the manufacturer, If possible, and they need to replace the internal memory storage, then upload the software and firmware to it.

Sorry buddy. It also happened to me before.

    Thank you!

Mp4 player not working

Check your MP4 player's system requirements.
Some MP4 players are only capable of working with certain operating systems and hardware, so refer to your player's documentation to ensure it is capable of functioning with your PC.
Change the USB port your MP4 player is connected to if you have confirmed your PC can function with your MP4 player.
Disconnect other USB devices, and try connecting your player to another USB port if you are still having problems.

Try restarting your PC if it is capable of working with your MP4 player.
Restarting your PC resets non-functioning USB ports, which may be your problem.

Make sure your USB cable is connected properly.
If your player requires you to install drivers, make sure you install them.

Try connecting your player to another PC to see if the new PC recognizes it.
If it does, chances are your computer does not support the hardware necessary to run your player.

Reset your MP4 player if your PC is still unable to recognize it.
Resetting your player varies depending on the manufacturer and model, so refer to your player's documentation.

Contact your player's manufacturer if you are still unable to get it to work with your PC.

My pc accepts mp4 hardwear momentarily then rejects it

A connection is possibly loose, seems like a hardware problem that would require service. Check the usb connector and its pins.

You have tried it on two other pcs? what was the result there did it work? If it worked on both fine, then the issue is on your computer and not on the mp4 most likely.

Please clarify.

Manual for infitek mp3/mp4

Problem: Infitek MP4 player is recognized by Vista and Windows XP but when you try to put files on it, error pops up.
Solution: The MP4 needs to be reformatted to FAT32 file system, here is howto do it:
1) Connect USB cable to PC
2) Connect Infitek to cable.
3) An AutoPlay window will pop up on your PC. Select "Open folders to view files using Windows Explorer"
4) On the left of the explorer window the following will be seen "Removable Disk (?:)" (? can be any letter in the alphabet, most likely E-K)
5) Right click on "Removable Disk (?:)" with your mouse and select "Format"
6) "Format Removable Disk (?:)" window will appear, select FAT32 from the FIle system Combo box and select Quick Format from the Format options and click on START
You may need to format the MP4 more than once, it did not work for mr the first time.
7) After you receive a message, Format completed successfully you can drag and drop any files to the "Removable Disk (?:)" which is the MP4 player storage area.
8) Disconnect the cable, turn on the MP4, if at main menu use the >>| key to get to the Music, Click MENU key to get to the first song, click >|| to play song.

I used .WMA files (Windows Media Player) songs. They seemed to work ok

Good luck!
