plz check proper connection,if it is connected properly then go to sound setting and select the HD Audio/Headphone whatever you are connected.then this will work.
You would need to know the motherboard of this model. Asus is very good on having this info on the site, however unlike, dell or sony, they are not actually "models" per say as they are moreso preassembled components.
Asus is a company known more for parts than computers they are just recently really getting into the complete pc market.
