Question about KitchenAid 24 in. KUDS01FLBL Built-in Dishwasher
The door will not close itself - no tension in the door.
I looked at the manual and it notes that you have to have the dishwasher pulled out to get access to the spring attached to the back leg. Is that the only option or might their be another way to get to it or another reason why the door no longer closes by itself.
It is usually the cable that breaks. The cable attaches the door to the spring. But unfortunately the dishwasher would need to come out at least a few inches to get to the cable and springs. I have put together some instructions that might help describe what needs to be done, if you want to take a look at the link and let me know what you think I can try and help you with it.
