Question about Sony Ericsson Walkman W810i Cellular Phone
Basicaly, the phone lights up, i.e. keypad and side lights and is turned on, however the screen is black. Is it a hardware problem? Will i need to take it in? As far as i am aware it hasnt been knocked heavily or damaged or submerged in water.. The problem occured fairly randomly and the screen flashed white a few times before going completely blank. There was also a peroid where the side lights were red, is that an error indication? thanks.

This is most probably a software/firmware issue with the phone. Try updating the software with the Sony Ericsson update service.
If this doesn't work you will need to have it flashed with proper equipment,
