Question about JVC Gumy Ear Bud Headphone - Peppermint Blue

One earphone stopped working

One day I started listening to my iPod and realized that the left earphone was no longer producing any sound. I'm assuming that they're trashed, but I would love a solution to the problem!

Can't make a call do to no sound everything else works but, no sound. I plugged earphones in to listen to music and when I unplugged it I know longer could hear phone calls or when I dial the phone.

Mark, the issue with your phone is with the speaker. This has been confirmed by you when you say the there was sound produced when you used earphones.
You have to get your speaker fixed. Get it done at a local repeir store aroud you.
But in the meantime you could use the earphones for your calls so you can hear them.
But you may still have an issue- hearing your in coming calls- so if you can get a bluetooth headset, that you can hang around your ears, you would hear the calls coming in.
I hope that was helpful to you.
Have a lovely day.

The earphone jack connection produces sound in only one ear. Partially with drawing the jack produces sound in both ears. Clearly, the jack is not making a good connection once inside its 'port'.

Hi,
This is usually the result of faulty earphones. Try replacing the earphones you are using with the ipod and it should work normally.
Good Luck!

The right ear speaker on my ipod ear phones no longer emits sound. Is there anyway to fix this?

If you are handy at repairing electronics, you can splice the white cord open and re-solder the wire if it is loose. However I NEVER use the iPod earphones - reason being is when I listen to a song on my iPod and the dial slips past 80% then speakers usually blow. I would buy a pair of Skullcandies, I have 2 pairs and they have never blown. They are only $14.99 at any Target/Walmart and you can definitely save yourself the hassle. Those earphones brand new at stores such as Radioshack are about $29.99, and are very mediocre.

One earbud stopped working

what happens is inside the cord where you have your ear phones connecting to your ipod, there is a thin wire that can easily brake. it happens if u for example, rap your ear phones around your ipod. if your rap the chords to tight, the wire can break. it can even brake when you move the cord too much. such as spinning it, shaking it and such.
the wire that breaks connects to one side or both sides of your earphones, which produces the sound. if you can hear only on one side, the cord is damaged and cant be fixed.

i would go and buy new ear phones
i perfer skullcandy in-ear earphones because the wire is secrurly wrapped, and doesnt brake easily such as other producers. the skullcandy ear phones are in my mind are much better then other earphones. you actually feel like your in the room or at a live show.

My ipod crackles and my hearing seems to be getting damaged

Id say you should go see a doctor. But for now id say that you should do your best to not listen to it for a while as it can affect hearing. try to use full on speakers if you can. On you tube there are a few Sub-Woofer sound tests you can do. Try playing one (low volume) and repeat. (not a song one)

http://www.teenbuzz.org/ also to hear which frequencies are out of range to you click here. ( click the second icon on the list further down the page)

But yeah go see a doctor. Perhaps some ear drops.

Yes, if you changed headphones and it is still happening, it's almost surely a problem with your iPod's jack. I think the warranty is 1 year only, so you should get it repaired asap.

My ipod doesnt only works out of one headphone.

HI,
I actually had the exact same problem with my ipod touch. It's actually not a problem with the headphones but with the headphone jack on the ipod. For a while i "solved" this problem by wrapping my headphone wires twice around my ipod [so it was tight and the sound could be heard, the same way u do it by pushing it with ur finger]. Well one day my ipod jack just fixed itself, I got lucky. But my advice to you is to send it into apple like my friend who had the same problem did, they sent him a new one [hopefully u have a warrenty!]
hope that helped!!..thank you!!..
