Question about Plumbing
Need more clerification. however you should routinely spray all fittings plastic and metal with silicon spray two times per year this is a huge help when it comes time to make repairs. you may have to soak the parts with wd 40 or silicon lube you can use a toarch to heat metal parts like bolts to free up. once all bolts are off you may need to tap the pump housing with a hammer to know free, make sure you have removed the impeller from the shaft use a nut driver to tap out the old seal from the pump housing or pry it out with a screw driver you should use some silicon when replacing the seal to the seal plate to insure no leak after replacement. always use silicon lube or spray lube on all parts and orings or plastic dont listen to what the manufaturer says they want you to spend more money on cheap made items that are overpriced

Thank you for posting your question here on Fixya.com.
What brand is your pump? Emerson and 1081 are motor related pieces of information. In general the process is the same for any brand...Disassemble the pump, lock the motor shaft at the end opposite the pump, spin off the impeller, replace both halves of the seal and assemble in reverse order. If you need more specific directions, please comment with the brand and model of your pump.
If this answer does not fix your problem, please comment with additional details prior to rating the answer. Positive feedback is appreciated once your problem is solved!
