I can't figure out how to scan from the printer and send to the computer to work on document

First, make sure all of the drivers for your printer were downloaded from the CD that came with your printer and make sure your printer is connected to your computer and turned on..

Second, if you are using a Windows PC, Click on:
Start > All programs > Accessories > Paint

Third: When the Paint program opens, in the top toolbar click on, File > From Scanner or Camera > then select your printer by clicking on your printer's icon > then click, OK.

Fourth: Place the document you wish to scan on the glass of the scanner and click on: Scan.

The document will be scanned and automatically sent to the Paint program.

Fifth: Click, File > Save as > (name the document) and save it in your Pictures folder.

You can now close the Paint program and open your Pictures folder. Click on the document you scanned to view it.

Kodac 5100 AiO printer--how to scan pic. and send to computer file...can not locate manual

Connect your printer to the computer and make sure that you have the latest Kodak All in One Home Center software installed on the computer.
To download the latest version of software, go to the link below:
kodak.com/go/5100downloads and install the software.

You can scan a picture either by using the scan button on the printer or by using the Kodak Home Center software.

There is one more way of scanning the picutre from MS Paint application in Vista and XP.
  • Open MS Paint and go to the "File" option on the top left.
  • In the Drop down menu, select "From Scanner or camera".
  • It will give you the choice to choose the desired USB device so selct the Kodak printer/scanner and the file be scanned in Paint.
  • Now you can save it as an image on the computer.

If you are looking for a manual, go to the link
kodak.com/go/manuals
On this webpage, you can view and download manuals for all Kodak printers as an Adobe(.pdf) file or as .html file.

Go to the icon HP solution center-should be on your desktop; click on scan picture, (Put picture on glass first in printer and close cover) click picture to file, click scan; click on base name and type the name for you picture then save location click browse and choose file to save to and then click ok. it will show you a copy of the image then click on finish. The picture will show up at the bottom of your file.

How do i scan a picture so it can be used in my pc

Hi Ernst_c

It took me a bit of time, but I figured this out. It works pretty good and I haven't ran into any problems lately. Ok, the way I do it is by first bringing up the "Paint" application (if you have it). Once I have a blank page open, I go to "file" , "from scanner of camera", it then brings up the option "what do you want to scan?" I normally go with "color picture". Press "scan", wait a bit, then it will show up on your "Paint" application. Then when you want to save it, go to "file", "save as" and where you want to put it in. It's pretty easy, it was just a bit hard for me trying to figure this out. Hope this helps.

Instruction manual for Epson CX8400

Hi,

You can scan magazines and newspapers using this machine. You will need to use the Epson Scan software which is included in your printer driver disc. The picture below shows you need to select Home Mode and the important setting is for you to check the Descreening Filter option. You can just select other option to your own needs. For other question regarding this, please email me. Thanks!

Dell 964 scanner

First do your scan on Dell 964 scanner &printer. Scan to clipborad. You hear it scan but nothing happens on your computer. Go to control panel - scanners and cameras - scan profiles - find the document you have scanned, select it and click edit - click preview - in the left corner you will see in blue "How to scan a picture" click that, it will lead you to Windows Photo Gallery - there click on file and import from scanner of camera - it will scan there and your scanned pics will be in your picture folder :) Took me a while to figure it out :)
You can avoid all this and go directly to Windows Photo Gallery :)
