SOURCE: EPSON TM T88IV

The TM-T88IV printer is a thermal printer and does not have ink or a ribbon.

If the printer is not printing you may have the wrong type of paper in the printer. You must have thermal paper in order for the printer to work. Paper for a dot matrix printer will not work in this printer.

The printer has a self-test that you can perform by turning the printer off, holding down the Feed button and turning the printer on. A test strip will print. Press the Feed button again to print a longer test strip.

SOURCE: what do I need to hook up TM-T88IV to my computer

Well according to EPSON the ways you can connect your printer to a computer are RS-232C, IEEE 1284 parallel; RS-485; high-speed USB; 10/100Base-T/TX; wireless. However the way they get you is you have to buy the interface from them. Contact EPSON and see what the cheapest one is. If you're only using it from one computer just a simple parallel cable will do the trick. If you live in the Washington DC area feel free to contact me and if you send me a picture of the back of the printer I can tell you what kind of connection it is. I'm at http://www.inovagent.com

Epson t88iv error codes 32

Did you set it up using Epson's receipt printer drivers? If so, right click on it and choose properties. Under the PORT tab, check and make sure it is set for proper port (LPT1, COM1, USB, etc). If you make changes, click APPLY, then OK. Then Right click, PROPERTIES, Print test Page. If you can't get test page to print, your wasting your time sending codes to printer.
Let me know if you need more assistance.

Epson tm-t88iv not showing logo in aldelo pro for restaurants. I have the logo loaded and it prints flawlessly on a printed test page but wont show in aldelo.

Try adding a separator page with
\
\H1C\H70\H01\H00
\
as the code. Copy and paste the above into notepad save the file in the system32 directory, open your printer's properties from the printers file folder in control panel. go to advanced tab of properties, click on separator page. add the notepad file you created. A separator page is printed at the beginning of every print job. The code came from epson expert.com
