That is a tough one ,,, the best repair is to the inside of a dry liner . The repair involves liquid cement and a vinyl patch, so seems to me impossib]le to do under water. Now if you have patience and a knack ,, you might get away with a temporary patching by putting a bare piece of vinyl inside to block the leak and then dry the outside and apply a patch there over the hole .. not saying this is your ultimate solution, or a permanent solution .. but you might think about it anyway ..

Frigidaire FRS26ZNH frig is freezing water in the bottom of the freezer and is leaking water onto the floor.

Hi

The drain hole is clogged. Remove the food and do a complete defrost. Most of the time the blockage is caused by ice in drain line. If that does not fix the problem, the drain hose to evaporator is clogged. The drain line (TUBE-DRAIN) is part 64 in diagram below. Click on the picture to enlarge:

Water in my refrigerator

The defrost drain is stopped up, or frozen up. You will need to turn the refrig. off defrost the drain. This can take time. Locate the drain hole in the center of the back of freezer. You will need to remove the back panel. The fastest way is to find a bottle with a plastic tube about 1/4 in attached and fill the bottle with HOT water and squeeze it into the drain

Frigidair icebox leaks water...condensation pan is dry Model # FP1-19THL-1

Remove the food and ice maker (if equipped ) from the freezer , and remove the rear inside freezer panel . Below the coils , there is a drain pan which is probably iced over . Start in the middle with a hair dryer , and defrost until you see the drain hole . Use hot water to help defrost the hole . Once defrosted , insert a small hose , to blow any unseen debris , thru the drain line , and into the drain pan .
To permanently "fix" this problem , after defrosting the drain hole , insert an aluminum solid wire ( no insulation ) , or a copper ground wire , into the hole as far as possible , without force , and wrap the black rod above the hole (defrost heater) , about 1-2 turns with the other end of the wire .
When the refrig goes into defrost , the heat will transfer to this wire , keeping the defrost drain from being frozen up again .

OUR TOP MOUNT WHIRLPOOL FRIG IS DRIPPING WATER FROM THE FREEZER AIR TOWER AREA ONTO THE FRIG SHELVES BELOW. HOW CAN I FIX THIS?

Remove the food and the ice maker from the freezer ( if equiped ) . Remove the rear freezer panel . Using a hair dryer , start in the middle , below the coils , defrosting , until you see the drain hole . Use hot water to help defrost the hole . Once water starts going thru the hole , use a small hose inserted into the hole , and blow thru , to remove any unseen debris in the drain line . Use an ALUMINUM solid wire , 14-16 guage , with the insulation completely off , and insert one end into the drain hole as far as possible without any force . Wrap the other end about 1 1/2 to 2 turns , around the black rod (defrost heater) , above the hole . When refrig goes into defrost , the heat will transfer from the heater , to the wire , keeping the hole from freezing up again .

Water dripping from inside of freezer compartment.

The condensate drain has a blockage further down and possibly in one of the turns as it leads down to the pan below your refrigerator. Most times the blockage begins slowly until the opening of the drain hole under the evaporator freezes itself shut. Below is a link to some solutions I have collected over a period of time. Also has a short movie2.gif that makes the repair look simpler. There are many reasons for this happening for example water leaking from a water supply line for the dispenser or ice maker, a crack in the defrost pan, water leaking inside and draining through the refrigerator cabinet, but most are caused by a defrost drain line blockage. Below is a link that may be helpful so try to take it all in and use the parts that most refer to your specific problem, Thanks Sea Breeze

I believe your defrost condensate drain has a blockage of ice and will need to be defrosted and clean the condensate line from the freezer to the condensate collection plate below your refrigerator. Most times the blockage begins slowly until the opening of the drain hole under the evaporator freezes itself shut. Below is a link to some solutions I have collected over a period of time. Water leaking on to floor of fridge

Remove the food from the freezer and icemaker (3 screws and a plug hold it in place ) . Remove the screws holding the back panel of the freezer in place , and remove the panel . Using a hair dryer , below the coils , start in the middle , and defrost until you see the drain hole . Keep defrosting the hole , until water starts to drain thru . Use a small piece of hose inserted into the drain , and blow thru it , to clear out any debris accumulated in the drain line . Hot water helps to clear the ice from inside the hole also . To make this a permanent " fix " , get a piece of aluminum solid wire ( 14-16 guage , like an appliance ground wire ) about 8 " long . After the drain is clear , where water runs thru , insert 1 end into the hole as far as it will go without any force , bending slightly if necessary . Wrap the other end around the black tube ( defrost heater )above the hole about 1 - 1 1/2 turns . Whenever the fridge goes into defrost , the heat will transfer to the wire , therfore , keeping ice from blocking the drain again . This should fixya .

There is no ice build up in the freezer, the water line is not hooked up, yet the refrigerator has water leaking down from the top of it. Why?

Remove the food from the freezer and remove icemaker , if equiped . Remove all screws on the rear panel , and remove the panel . Using a hair dryer , start defrosting the drain pan in the middle ( below the coils ) , until you see the drain hole . Once you see the hole , keep defrosting ( hot water helps ) , until water goes thru hole . Use a piece of tubing inserted into the hole to blow out any debris accumulated in drain line . Once cleared , remove excess ice in trough and reinstall panel and food .

My refrigerator keeps leaking water. Need help.

Hello, this sounds like you have a blockage in the drain tube, remove panel back of freezer..you may see ice build up...melt ice with hair dryer/heat gun...you will see a pan below evaporator...melt ice in pan...dry water up in pan with paper towel...now you should see a hole in pan that leads to drain tube...pour some hot water in pan..wait a couple minutes..mop up water and repeat this step 2-3 times....once you have done this find some flexible curatain wire or electrical wire..poke down the hole until you see the water drain..now it is clear..put back panel back and you are good to go. The reason you see water in the Freezer is because the water has been leaking into the freezer instead of running into the drain hole...Please feel free to comment again if you need any further assistance. Mike
