You will need to open it up and inspect the inside.
Most common failures in the LCD monitors are bad capacitors (bulging top/seal or leaking) in the power supply, failed inverter circuits (blown fuse, shorted transistors, shorted/open transformers), bad lamps (poor solder connections or worn out lamps). You will need to open it up and inspect the inside, see example of failed monitors to get some ideas what to look for: http://s807.photobucket.com/home/budm/allalbums
Post back what you see inside so we can guide you further and it will help out other people in the future also.

How do I repair my 19in LCD monitor, it receives video signal, but goes black screen?

Connect the "bad" monitor to the VGA-out port on a notebook/laptop computer, to see if it works normally when connected. If not, then the monitor is "dead".
If it works fine, check the "screen-resolution" of the computer's video-card, to see if the values exceed the capability of the monitor.

Samsung monitor blue flashing light, black screen

Hello,

The picture board of your monitor has developed fault. That is why the screen is black.

The best thing for you to do now is to take the monitor to a local repairer within your vicinity, because the fault is not something you can fix in other not to complicate issues..

The repairer will help diagnose and replace the faulty picture board and your monitor is back and better.

Take care.

HP Pavilion - the monitor flashes off and on

Pls uninstall the video card drivers and reinstall them.

Also pls look for any graphics driver updates from the manufacturer.

Also pls check if the cable from the power supply for the graphics is connected on the motherboard.

Pls check with another monitor if it is doing the same thing.
If the same happens with another monitor, then it is an issue with the video card..
