How to play xbox games on a new xbox360 slim 4gb

I am assuming you are referring to playing original Xbox games on your new 360. Halo was the only game from the box that you can play directly without needing to download the patch to play but supposed newer systems have the capability to play more directly out of the box.

Other backwards compatable games can be played but you will need a samll patch for each game. The game if playable will automatically attepmt to download the patch from xbox live. So you will need to have your Xbox 360 conected to live or have a patch disk. (which is available via the Xbox Magazine disk or can be downloaded online and burned to a disk)

Here is a link for Xbox games that are playable on the 360: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Xbox_games_compatible_with_Xbox_360

"You can play some original Xbox games on your Xbox 360 console, if you have an Xbox 360 Hard Drive and the latest console software.

Information about how to update your console software is available on our Xbox support website:
support.xbox.com/pages/xbox-360/how-to/update-xbox-360/system-updates.aspx "

I cant play a game on my ds lite from my r4 renovation i bought and i dont know what to do

There is a possibility that the r4 cart might need a firmware update.
The latest firmware update can be found http://www.r4ds.me/index-en.html R4 DS V1.18 kernel 2008-04-24 is the latest firmware according to the site.
Updating to the latest firmware will resolve 90% of the problems that may exist for games. There is also a list of games noted to work on the R4 located http://wiki.scorpei.com/index.php/R4_compatibility_list check to see if the game you are trying to play is listed and what it might take to get it working.

I have the latest update on my ps3 which is 3.01 and every time i play games a system update flashes up which is 1.04 so its been done ages ago. also can't get online as it says i need to update but when u...

The latest PS3 update should now be 3.10.

The updates the games ask for is a game update, and not a system update.

You should only have to do the large game update the first time you play a game, and then it may have smaller ones later on.

I tried to play a couple of games and I get a box that says I need file ''d3dx9_33dll'' error 126. How can I fix this

Since it is more than one game, you probably need to update a program called "DirectX." The original is probably on the disc you game came on. You can download the latest release at Microsoft's web site. http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=2DA43D38-DB71-4C1B-BC6A-9B6652CD92A3&displaylang=en Besides that, it is always a good idea to go to Microsoft's update center and get all of the latest drivers for your video and sound cards.

Try a restore default settings. If you are updated to the latest official firmware and trying to run a game from a memory stick it wont work. As official firmware wont support playing backup games from the memory stick

PS3

Ps3 supports over 1000 ps1 and ps2 titles. Make sure you hook your ps3 up to the internet and download the latest firmware updates. Odds are your system will be able to play all or most of your ps2 games once you update the ps3 online.
