Ethernet driver for compaq dc5100 after downloading and installing it from hp i still get the yellow question mark...if i click search for new hardware it locates the driver but won't install with a disc

you will need to open up your network connections

click start control panel network connections this may vary depending on your operating system look for local area connection if you see a red X or a yellow exclamation or question mark ! ?

you will need to update or install the driver or it could be firewalled

click start control panel administration tools computer management device manager scroll to network adapters should see a yellow question mark? right click install drivers

the driver might be on the disc supplied by your ISP internet service provider
or the motherboard disc or you might download one if you dont have on a disk

the HP web page don't have the driver for windows 7
i found those 2 dirver after 5 hours
here are the graphic an audio drivers. Audio have a install program. But with
te video you haver to select update driver in the device manager and select the
directory with the drivers. good look

First, check yoour computer for virus, spyware, malware, etc. Then, go to www.hp.com and go to support, drivers and downloads and download it. If your computer does not connect to the internet, use a friends computer or go to the library and download the drivers on to a flash disk. Have fun!

I found AC'97 as the sound driver for OS of WinXP pro. Try this driver......................sodeep

Open the Device Manager, click on the icon, which is marked with question mark, hit delete button then a prompt will pop-up then hit Yes. After a while or after Windows restart, it will prompt you that you need to install driver for a new hardware, I assume you still have the Drivers CD, which comes with your PC, dictate the PC to search driver from the CD or DVD drive.
