Hi! my printer wont print from the computer but i can copy when touching the button. the printer sent out an error. i forgot that there was some paper blocking the printed paper as it was exiting the printer. after that it stopped printing.

Try reinstalling the software or update the software and drivers from the manufacture's website and not from cd

If your printer won't print when you're making a copy using the Copy button on the operator panel, it could be due to your ink cartridges. Try to re-seat your ink cartridges into the printer and make sure they are properly seated.
If you're not able to print from your computer, it could be a communication problem. A quick fix for most communication errors can be achieved by resetting the printer and/or rebooting the PC. Simply disconnect the printer from your computer (if usb-connected), reboot your computer and unplug/replug the printer into the power source to reset it. When the printer turns on, reconnect it to your computer. Try to print again.

When I print a one page document, tray 1 prints on multiple papers at a time. 1 page prints on 5 pages.

My guess is either on the printer or the driver. Skimming the manual, it doesn't seem that you can set the default number of pages printed per sent print job on the printer, but that is something I would look into. This is a nice office printer, perhaps the printer is set to print multiple copies of everything it is sent. You could determine if it is the printer or driver/computer by printing to it from another computer.

If it is the computer, go into the control panel and select the properties for this printer. In there, check if the number of copies is improperly set to 5. This would happen for every print job sent from this system.

Does it print 5 copies of documents sent from different programs (i.e. Web Page, Word, Excel)? Quite possibly, one time you set it to print 5 copies and that application retained that as default. In that application, rather than clicking "print" click "printer setup" and look through the settings to see if it is requesting multiple copies.

I am 95% sure one of these three solutions will solve your problem.

A document was sent to the 5110cn color printer. it is a full color duakl sided brochure. Keeps trying to print but errors out before loading all images so all that gets printed is one or two of the...


The reaason it keeps trying to print is because it's in the print queue on your network.
Have whoever sent this to the printer open the print queue and delete it.
Only the originator or the print queue admin can delete the job

Printing issue


If command was with computer and you print mode of the printer, do stop by way of the removing the task sent on printer, from panel printers nominated printer afterwards remove problem, but if in mode of copying, push all reset buttom unset or removing the mode of the printer and translation on copying

How to print a regular document from Microsoft Word, Excel.


Instead of pressing the start button to print, you need to press the small ON/OFF button. The start button works to copy/scan. But to print, you will need to turn the printer on first. Once the printer is on, the computer should recognize it fine and allow you to print from your applications.

Printer will not copy although we can still print documents sent from the computer.


Is it infax mode?
Do you get a green Start Button?
Are there any error codes diaplayed when you push the button?


If no to these, unplug the machine for several minutes and restart.

Printing problem


Turn off printer
Hold down green button
Power on printer. (cold reset)
In printer properties choose print directly to printer, then choose print test page.

I have error whenever i just select encoding only


Hi There, I presume (from the error number) that you are using LC3 (monochrome) dye film in your printer. This error is normally given when the printer detects LC3 (monochrome) dye film, but is then sent 'Colour' printing data from the driver. If you have 'encode only' selected there should be no printing data sent to the printer at all (number of copies = 0), only the mag stripe information should be sent. I suggest you contact Magicard Technical Support in the UK (I am one of their support engineers). We will need some further information (serial number of the printer, etc). Please also check you have the latest firmware (print the internal test card by pushing the button on the back) and are using the latest driver.
