Tascam MP-BT1 not recognized on any computer

I have tried it with Windoze XP, Tiger, and Leopard. Windoze says that it is unrecognizable. It just does not showe up on either Mac OS at all!

When connecting my MP-BT1 ther was no response on Windows Explorer but it would charge. Luckily they use a standard USB cable so I used a cable from another device (Sony minidisc) and it started working. The device has to be on when connected.

Hi there,
It sounds like it maybe an asio problem or latencey issue. You need to increase the latencey in the control panel of your tascam soundcard and this should hopefully cure you .

TASCAM US 144 and Mac incompatible???

A lot of the Audio drivers or Tascam and m-audio devices really only work for windows 32 bit reason i tried installing the same stuff for windows 64bit won't work in less u have vista 64bit But regular windows 32 bit works with every program out there. The mac if it did work it should pick up a signal if it worked properly but it sounds like the mac don't read it even with drivers .

This also could be a problem with your device if you had the same problem with it last time. replace it with a new one and try the install again on your computer and see if it works after that.

Drag and drop problem

Have you over loaded the memory? I had this problem and had to erase a lot of files that I no longer use.

No music file showying on MP-BT1

Just check they are not located inside a folder on your MP-BT1. If so, drag files out of their folders and then delete the folders and MP-BT1 will then recognise them!

TASCAM FW-1804 FIREWIRE PROBLEM

I have a Tascam 1804, and i've had the same problem. Mostly with Latency issues. For me, replacing the firewire chord with a gold plated one worked. PLUS, remember that the firewire connection is technically considered a NETWORK connection which is modified by whatever controls your network activity (ie. Firewall, Anti-Virus). Whenever i start to use my Tascam, i make sure I disable my WiFi and other Internet/network related items so they dont cross interfere with activity in my firewire port. hope this helps.

Download from iTunes to MP-BT1

Hi, thanks for responding but I did not realize that this was not a free advise website.  I do like your concept and you do deserve compensation for your knowledge however, I will just call tech support at TASCAM.  Again, thank you.

Loading mp3 files from my computer to my Tascam MP-BT1 Bass trianer however I get an error non-supported press enter. !!!

Perhaps the mp3 files are saved with variable beatrate. Open them in winamp and check if number in front kbps changes while the song is playing. If so than try transferring an mp3 file with constant beatrate. If that solves the problem than you have to convert mp3 files with variable beatrate to constant beatrate. For that you'd need program like this one is www.nch.com.au/switch/
