My phone gets hot and won't stay charged for more than 4 hours and then dies without being used.

How long have you had it? That sounds like a warranty issue. Unfortunately there really isn't anything you can do to fix that. Probably needs a new battery.

My battery comes dead really quick is there a way to boost it?

check the mhr on the batteries you use
they should be re-chargeable batteries as alkaline batteries do not have what it takes and run down very quickly
the re-chargeable battery should be around the 2000 mhr rating

Regular batteries die right away should I use only rechargable batteries

There is something wrong with your camera that is causing the batteries to run down quickly.
Using recharage batteries will not fix this problem as they too will run down quickly.
You need to get your camera services/repaired.

Experia x10 looses battery charge so quickly it lasts less than half a day now. Was fine until I connected to internet and wifi.

All phones use more energy when connected to WiFi.
In order to preserve battery life, shut down your WiFi unless you need it.
Find Settings>Wireless and Networks , and uncheck the WiFi box.

Mouse switch off

On most mice, you cannot shut the power off to them without removing the batteries and they will run down rather quickly. There is really nothing you can do unless you buy a mouse with a shutoff switch like my Logitech or use rechargeable batteries or just shut the computer down. Sorry.

Overheat/battery drain

Hello dogwillhunt,

It is normal for a two-way radio to generate some heat, especially during extended periods of long talk time. Consumer two-way radios tend to be much more susceptible to this because they tend to be constructed out of materials that do not dissipate heat very efficiently, such as polycarbonate and plastic. Periods of heavy transmit times also use additional power, causing the radio’s batteries to run down more quickly and require replacement or recharge. Use of the display backlight feature can generate additional heat and run the unit out of battery power even more quickly.

If the radio is heating up excessively and burning through batteries (pardon the pun) in situations where you are not using the LCD backlight excessively or transmitting for long periods of time, this may be indicative of a problem with the unit that would require service, such as a short or defective component. If such is the case, I would recommend contacting the manufacturer.
