RE: Mitsubishi VS-50703 50 in.\r\nUpon turning on

RE: Mitsubishi VS-50703 50 in. Upon turning on the TV and the cable box it appears that the TV changes channels from 3 and we get black and white static with noise. Then we have to change TV channel back to to 3 to see picture. Any ideas as to why this happens every time we turn on TV/Cable box?

Go to settings, then tuner or channel edit, make sure tv is on CATV for cable or AIR if you are using regular tv. Sounds like you are using cable or satelite, so choose CATV, then choose autoprogram and the tv will scan and remember all available channels and store them for you.

How do I connect my time warner box to the dtv input on my 2001 MITSUBISHI 1080P HD TV

You need the proper cables. I would call your local cable office and ask them. You will need the model # off your TV. 2001 mitsubishi 1080P HD TV is not the model. The model will start with VS. It is located on the rear of the TV.

Mitsubishi VS-60805 Rear Projection won't operate in HD mode with Cable Box

Since this is an older first generation (1999) HD TV it may not be compatible with newer HDTV receivers because the standards back then were different - Make sure the HD cable box is plugged into the HD component inputs on the back of the TV (not the DVD inputs) and that the menu setting on the TV is set to DTV (not RGB) video. This TV will only accept 480i and 480p signals on the DVD input. Also the HDTV input will only accept 480i,480p and 1080i (it will not work with a 720p signal, make sure your cable box is not set to that mode)

When the cable company offers you digital cable, you typically need a cable box to unscramble the digital channels. Therefore you need to connect either a coaxial cable from the cable box's RF output, if it has one, or connect 3 RCA cables from the yellow, white and red jacks on the rear panel of the cable box to the TV. Analog channels only (if available) will go straight thru over the coaxial RF hookup. They are not scrambled. Select the proper input source on the TV for the cable box.

Hi,
Mitsubishi VS-60805 is 1999 model tv and unable to receive digital cable channels because it is equipped with analog tuner that can not receive cable channels because it is almost 11 years old.
You need to hook Cable Box in AV input of tv, plug digital cable in cable box and get digital cable channels in tv. Cable box has its own remote control and inbuilt digital tuner to receive all digital cable channels and widely available in Store, Radio Shake, amazon.com etc.
Let me know if you have additional question.
Thanks.

Mitsubishi VS-55609: No video/audio - just static

You are on the right track. If you cannot see a picture on either antanna A or B then the tuner is suspect.
You may try hooking the cable straight into the TV if you are using a cable box, if not then you should be getting a picture when your other video devices are turned off.
The fact that you get a picture on video tells me that the AV circuits are fine.

Thanks

You should have two antenna inputs A & B. Most commonly the RF or TV output on the back of the cable box is connected to antenna A and the TV has to be set for channel 3 or 4 depending on which station is not available in your area. If you don't get a picture on 3 or 4 then switch the cable box to antenna B or find the switch on the remote that allows you to remotly switch antenna inputs. If your TV has a connection that says "cable out" don't use that one as that is for a more complex setup. I hope this helps you.
