Question about Televison & Video
I recently purchased a Samsung LE37M87BDX/XEU TV, i have been trying to set it up but have incounted some problems when trying to connect my PS3. The TV is 1080p HD and as I understand it the PS3 has this capability as well, yet I can't seem to get the PS3 to run at this level. I have attached it to the TV via an HDMI cable yet when I enter the PS3 settings and try and activate the 1080p the TV screen goes blank and after about 15secs a message is displayed by the TV saying 'mode not supported'. This seems to be a message being displayed by the TV, i've tried looking through the settings options on the TV but I can't see what or how I can change anything!?
The HDMI cable I had originally wasn't a good enough quality. I purchased an HDMI v1.3 cable and everything works at 1080p. You don't need to pay loads for a cable, got mine from Play for £9.99.
