See on board care fully there you found Panel Connector:
Read carefully:

PWS: Means Power Switch. Hoock the power switch from board to this pin. This might be broken, means in distict wire one +ve and another -ve.

PLED: Power Led, connect your power led wire to this, these two wires will be together.

HLED or HDLD: It is HDD led this wire from cabinet also comes together.

RSW or RSET Its reset switch it also comes together from cabinet.

SPKR: This is for internal speaker you can connect the small speaker comes with cabinet. This will be more wider as 1 pin is open in this connection.

Try out this and tell me whether you fixed or not.

Fore more questions, just Ask Me.

Thanks
Iqbal

Hooking up power sw hdd resetsw

Ok what you want to do is go over to the JFP1 Switch connection on the motherboard. It will be labeled and it has multi colors and 5 pins on one side ad 4 on the other. Starting with the 5 pin side the pin that does nat have a partner on the otherside where the 4 pins are stays empty. Immediately next to that are the two pins for the reset sw...notice the + and - symbols on them. On the wires that you have colored or striped is positive and white or nonstriped is negative (this may also be labeled on the little colored wires)...plug in the reset sw wires into those two pins. don't worry you won't damage the board by doing this wrong..you just won't get lights (at which poing you'd just redo it etc)...the next two pins over are for the HDD LED...plug those two in,...now the 4 pin side...there's the empty slot...then next to that is the power sw. Plug those two in there...next to that is the Power LED...plug those in there...note that the colors do not necessarily match up to their respective pin/wire colors so just read the labels and you'll be good to go...that's it...test by turning on and seeing the colos light up on your PC...if you notice the Hard drive indicater light blinking every time the Hard drive is in use then you're in good shape...takes practice but it's not too bad once you get the hang of it...Good luck!

How do i plug in power button in on mother board? Lost my manual so I can't find the model #. I was just switching my mother board and all other hardware to new case and my power button (or switch or...

> power led,

Runs to the LED (Light Emitting Diode) labelled "power" on the front of your computer-case

> H.D.D led,

Runs to the front-panel LED that lights-up whenever the Hard Disk Drive is being used.

> reset sw,

Runs to the "reset" button on the front panel.

> speaker

Runs to the internal speaker

> s/b sw

Very briefly touch a metal-tip screwdriver between these 2 pins.
If the computer powers-on, you've found the "power" connector.

Wire came loose on pavilion xe 734 that supplie power to hard dir

First of all these wires don't supply power to HDD. These wires are for indicator LEDs on the front
panel of the cabinet. One wire `power sw' is to switch on the system from the power button on front panel. `power led' wire is of the power led on the front panel. All these wires will be connected to the cluster of pins on one corner of the mother board. If you can see it will be indicated & printed near the cluster of pins on the mbd, that which pair of pins is meant for what connector. Try to correlate the names on connector with the print on the mbd.

I have a e-machine. Model w3619 a friend sold to me. He unplugged the two power leads that lead from the power button on the front panel from the motherboard.Where do i reconnect them?

The correct wiring plan for this computer is as follows:

Pwr Led Pwr Sw N/C

X X X X O

HDD Rst N/C

Note : N/C = no connection, top row has no pin, bottom row has a pin but not connected.

when you plug in the Pwr Led and HDD connectors, a light should come on, if it doesn't , turn off the pc and turn the connector round on the pins, re -power on your pc.
