You may have a loose speaker support in the speaker cabinet.
One of the speaker support screws may have come loose and is vibrating against the case.

i believe its an issue with the Sub wire that is routed to the main speaker with the volume bass/treble control. Every time you wiggle that wire it enhances the subs "rattling" noise. Mine is doing the same and im also seeking a solution. can anyone help?

I have AIWA NSX-RV85. The sub-woofer surround tore leaving just the cone. When I play, The woofer just makes a rattling sound coming out of vibrating cone.Any advise on how to fix my speakers. Thanks

Refit the rubber, you can find itbon eBay, its called reconing actually in this case the cone is the inlybpart wich you dont want to replace... The rattling is beingproducer due to the fact the rubber normally holds the cone ibto positionering over the coils. This rattling is not good can defect your cone. So dont play it roll you got a new rubber fitted!

SW-910, blown speaker or ? makes rattle/buzz sound. replace speaker and/or change to passive type sw?

i would suggest replacing it rather than fixing. The cost of the repair will be about the same.
if you went to a passive sub/seperate power amp setup you could get a much higher quality unit, but it would cost you considerably more cash.

My Sunfire MKll is making a popping/rattling sound during some low frequency notes, the sound is coming from the left woofer when facing the amplifier board ( its the softer woofer of the two, but...

The passive radiators on those are notorious for coming apart inside and making a knocking noise. You can sometimes glue it back together but youll have to remove the driver from the cabinet.

My audiobahn eternal is making a rattling sound when it plays certain notes

might be your wires inside the box. My brothers does the same thing on deep notes, took the sub out and shorten the wires and seem to stop that noise or kinda rattling sound. I had two 12's the same ones you got, the noise i had was my 12's blowing the box apart lol. Don't hurt to check your box every now and again. hope this was helpful

MTX 12'' sub noise

Sounds like your sub is overextending itself, and possibly losing contact at the voice coil. Overextending will make a weird rattling sound, losing contact at the voice coil will make a popping sound.

Subwoofer rattling.

Make sure your sub is securely screwed to your box, boot build, whatever you have it sitting in. Remember subs are made to vibrate when working, check your screws are tight.

Do you know if my woofer is blown?

well if you hear a rattle sound its probably already blown...and the amp could be drawing too much power if the radio shuts off...make sure all your wiring is correct. also if your car is off and you turn it up it will most likely shut off cause the battery cant handle it. but as for the sub i think its blown. good luck
