Firstly i believe that you are getting this error code from your browser, the 404 code is simply a Not Found error message is a HTTP standard response code, many times indicating that the page you're looking for either cant be reached , ie servers may be down for servicing, or more the case no longer exists, its nothing wrong with your pc , but could be an issue if your getting this message on every single web page you try to link to ,
404 errors online usually mean the page requested is missing.
If you are getting that no matter what address you try to visit, then you're not online to the internet. You may wish to restart your computer and see if it "gets through" to any website. If you do get some sites to come up but still get a 404 on a particular link, the page doesn't exist.
If you're not able to get any pages then something is wrong with your networking .. somewhere along the line. Could be in the computer, router, cable/dsl modem. A simple 404 does not help too much on its own without some more details about what's happening.
Do you have a proxy setting for your internet connection,if so please configure that ip on your browser Error 404 means that the IE is able to establish a connection and from the google website it is not able to. Try using a diff browser like the firefox You can also reset your browser and check

Assuming that you've got your URL (Website's addres) typed in correctly, the problem may very well lie with the site itself. ERR404 means that your browser can access the web server (where the page is supposed to be located) but can't actually access the page.
