Hooking up this headset should be pretty simple assuming you're using the Microsoft cables The digital audio-out connector is built-in to the video cable, it works best using the Xbox's component cable, which is free.

If you're using a different manufacturers cable, the only way to get audio is to cut back the housing of the component cable, use it as an "audio-out" adapter, leaving just enough space for your HDMI cable.
Aside from that little bit of Microsoft proprietary cable nonsense the rest is fairly straight-forward. Just run the (slightly short, 6') optical cable from the video cable on the Xbox into the X4's receiver as long as you don't want digital audio. If you do you'll need to run a second digital audio cable from the X4 receiver into whatever other sound source you've got. The X4 receiver is just a go-between your speakers and the XBox.

Hope this helps FixYa! If you or anyone else finds this information helpful, please share the love and rate it up for me.

Trying to hook up xbox 360

You should have 3 wires. 1 is for video and the other 2 are for the audio. The wires should have them labeled. Once plugged into tv. You will need to change the input until you see xbox game. New tv's have multiple input channels. So u may have to try different inputs. Also you need to make sure the the wires are in grouped inputs on the back of the tv. Let me know if u have any questions.

I can't get Xbox 360 to work. I hve old TV, using converter box

If there's an issue with the AV cords themselves, the xBox's ring will flash red in all four sections.

You might want to try clearing out any dust or debris in the plugs and plug-inputs with some compressed air.

That's all assuming the AV cords or the converter are the problem.

How do i connect the xbox to the receiver using hd cables? which plugs in the back should the xbox cables go into?

which ever connection you have available. I think the 3805 has 3 component video inputs. If any of them are available use that input and tune the receiver to that input when you want to use the XBOX. You can even relabel it XBOX if you want in the menu but remember when using the remote it will still be VCR or whatever input you plugged it in as or reassigned it as. Remember renaming the input and reassigning it are 2 different things.
Also remember to assign the audio (digital or analog) to the same input as the component video.
If I helped please comment.

I am getting no picture when the xbox is on, but i am getting audio. The red and white wires are plugged into the red and white holes under cd, and the yellow wire is in the yellow hole under video 2, and...

Try a new video cable from the XBOX to TV or check another source like a DVD player to the TV thru the same Vid 2 input. You either have a bad cable, bad video section on your XBOX or a bad input on your TV. Hope this helps
