When I open the lens door the lens doesn't come out. So the camera is not activated. The battery is fine Its new battery I reblaced the camera completly not working please what is the problem and what is...

From what I have seen the best two options for fixing this are to force it out... not to the point of breaking but try to guide it until it comes out the rest of the way. You can try using a plastic pry tool to try and force it out. I wouldn't recommend using metal screw drivers or anything like that. The other method I've seen is to disassemble the camera and reseat the lens properly. I think you'll get it with the first method but let me know how it works out either way.

If i turn my camera on it says ''system error''.

Your problem may be due to weak/worn out batteries or corrosion on the battery contacts inside the camera which can prevent the full power of the batteries from flowing into the camera. Try this free fix before you do anything else: remove the batteries and wipe the camera contacts firmly with a dry cloth (heavy corrosion may require cleaning with a wire brush, steel wool, or sandpaper). Remove any residue that may have fallen into the battery compartment during cleaning, then wipe both ends of the batteries and place them back in the camera. This cleaning clears the problem about 90% of the time. If it doesn't work for you, chances are that your batteries are just too worn to properly power the camera. And then, of course, there's the possibility that your camera may have a problem that requires professional repair.

My camera turns on and then right back off. wen u press the power bottom the screen comes on and shows the Kodak label like its turning on and the lense begins to open but immideatly closes and the camera...

I had the same problem. This is how I fixed mine! Turn on camera grab the lens with two fingers before it can re-tract back into the camera and shut it self down. Use compressed air around the lens housing no more the 80 PSI. Hopefully this will remove any dirt.
It worked for me!

Last year I bought my mom a digital camera for christmas. It worked great for about 2-3 months. Since then it is speratic, it will turn on let you take a couple of pictures then shuts down all by itsels....

Hi! Most digital cameras require outrageous amounts of power to work properly. Be sure to use only high quality, hi power ni-mh rechargeable batteries. Check for Sanyo Eneloop or Duracell. Sometimes we think the camera is broken, but in most cases is only insufficient amout of power. If you can't find the before mentioned batteries, look for 2500mA NI-MH type rechargeable batteries and a proper charger. Good luck!

Battery in wrong way

HATE TO BRING BAD NEWS, BUT THERE IS THIS THING CALLED REVERSE POLARITY. THAT IS WHEN YOU PUT THE BATTERY IN WRONG AND THE CURRENT GOES INTO THE CAMERA THE WRONG WAY AND POOF! ELECTRONICS GET FRIED! THEY ARE VERY SENSITIVE AND THEY USUALLY CAN'T WITHSTAND SOMETHING LIKE THIS. IF YOU HAVE TRIED A NEW BATTERY AND IT STILL DOESN'T WORK, COST OF REPAIRS WOULD BE MORE THAN WHAT YOU PAID FOR THE CAMERA. ALSO, DOING THAT TO A BATTERY WILL KILL IT TO OR CAUSE A FIRE, SO YOU PROBABLY WERE LUCKY TO GET IT OUT OR THAT SOMETHING ELSE FRIED FIRST, BEFORE YOU HAD A MELTDOWN. MOST CAMERAS ON UP THE LINE FROM THIS ONE HAVE SOME WAY TO BLOCK THE BATTERY FROM GOING IN WRONG. THEY HAVE A CURVED SIDE OR SOMETHING THAT WILL ONLY LET IT GO IN ONE WAY. POINT TO REMEMBER WHEN YOU LOOK AT CAMERAS. SORRY FOR THE BAD NEWS, BUT IT WILL SAVE YOU MONEY IN THE LONG RUN,ESPECIALLY IF SOME REPAIR SHOP GOT HOLD OF IT AND DROPPED A $150.00 REPAIR BILL ON YOU.

No power

Gee, hang on I'll get my crystal ball out :-) I'm afraid it's impossible to say. It could be anything from a dirty battery connection to a full blown power board meltdown. Without having it on the bench it's impossible to say. Try the uwsual silly stuff, make sure the batteries are inserted the right way, make sure they're fully charged, make sure the battery ends are clean, make sure the battery connections in the camera are clean. Try your power supply instead of the batteries, Try a different set of batteries. Next stop, your friendly repair man.

Not turning on

Hello Ariel, You need a new battery lid. The problem is the lid has a pin that when closed properly, allows the battery to power up the camera. You can get one for $30.00 on Ebay item number 7623965577 if you act fast. This is a good camera and would be worth $30.00 (plus 5.50 shipping) to fix it. Please let me know how it works. Best regards, nightdiver

Panasonic camcorder (NV-DS65) - Dew Indicator Problem

I found this on another site, but it WORKED great for me, and was a VERY easy fix, so I suggest everyone to try it before you go disassembling your camera. I know this sounds very stupid, but it actually somehow fixed my problem, so everyone should give it a go:

1) Turn the camera on.

2) When the dew icon is displayed, take off the battery and then hit/smack the spot on the camera where the battery goes a couple of times (not overly hard, but with some force).

3) Put the battery back and see if it's fixed. If it isn't, repeat the whole procedure. It took me about four tries but now miraculously my camera seems to be working, for the first time in about 3-4 years!!!

NOTE: I don't know what the exact "fixing" spot is, so I just hitted different places of the battery spot (both the upper and lower region). Take it easy first and don't hit too hard, see if it works and try again putting more force if necessary. I still can't believe this solved the problem, wish I'd tried it back when the problem first occured!

NOTE #2: I think this fix will probably also work on some other Panasonic cameras with the same dew problem - in fact, I think the guy who originally came up with this solution actually had a different camera model than I do.. I know it's a late reply, but hopefully this helps at least someone!
