Question about Computers & Internet
The plastic center spindle of the DVD player, of a Toshiba Satellite A305-56829 broke in three pieces. There are pieces missing, so I cannot glue them together. I have available, an old toshiba Sat. Pro 430CDT, with a cd player, and I need to know if the spindle will fit the A305, and how to remove the spindle without braking it. If it cannot be used, what should I do? Tom Erickson firstname.lastname@example.org ..Thanks.

If it reads data it will read music (which is only data!)
Do you have a Music Program installed? The type of program will depend on whether the music is in CD Audio format or is in the MP3 format.
Windows media player should be able to read Audio CD's (but I don't think it will read MP3's). If you are trying to play a CD encoded as MP3 then you will need to search for a program that plays MP3's (there are many free ones on the Internet.
If it will not read Data, then buy another unit and install it (they are terribly cheap nowadays and uneconomical to repair).
