Question about Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX9 Digital Camera

1 Answer

Not focusing I'm in the process of attempting to help my friend fix his DMC-FX9 camera. The problem is that it doesn't tend to focus on ANYTHING. It will focus if you zoom in [about halfway)or use macro, but it won't focus if it's not zoomed in. I tried changing the focusing modes, the photo modes. I don't know what else to do, has anyone else run into this problem? He's had the camera for to long to return it, so I'm hoping that I can help him make it usable again. [This problem happens indoors and outdoors, in good lighting, bright lighting, horrible lighting, insanely dark lighting. thanks! :D

DMC-FZ7 Panasonic digital camera won't focus when zoomed

Your camera focus problem mostly deal with machanical parts. So changing them easily will solve the problem. But unfortunately you may not do it yourself. Because it is highly complicated process. In deed it needs lots of repairing devices which are found only in services. According to me the service had given you the best answer. Please accept their advice. Good luck.

The auto focus and the manual focus are not

I have a similar problem. The focusing joystick has just stopped working. Been trawling the net for weeks trying to find a solution (out of warranty, typically). Have you had any luck solving your problem?

Lumix FS-15 "System error (focus)"

I have the same issue with my 3 month old Lumix DMC FS15 plus it won't focus and gives the error message to "turn camera off and then on" This doesn't fix it.

Bottom line fix: Don't buy this camera again and don't recommend other buy it.

Help! can't focus

I would be on the side of your "smart" friends. As you know, the camera optics contains several lenses. Sounds like one of the lens dislocated and the CCD image is blured.

Fix a lens on my dmc-fx9

It sounds like you have a gear problem in your lens. If you need some good used parts for your FX9 you may want to contact a guy in South Carolina who has lots of parts for all the Panasonic Cameras at reasonable prices. I think his email is gerald.ray@aa-ark.com
