Hi Avadhesh,

Thats doesnt seem to be a big problem, What you could do is download the device driver for the sound card.

just check weather ur laptop has a sound card from realtech or intel and go the website of the manufacturer and download the same. as All HP Pavillion series laptops only have the following two sound cards.

Regards,
Gr8solver.

CompatMode # WINXPSP2

The problem I was having was with my 3G broadband. The compatibility program said that I needed to have #WINXPSP2. After much research I found out that you click on the shortcut and then click on properties. After this you click on compatibility and then there is a list of programs. Click on the one that says Windows XP SP2 and then click apply and then ok. Restart you computer and it will install XP Mode.

Installing windows xp on hp pavilion dv 6516 tx

I'm not sure solution #1 is very explanatory, so....

IF you want to install XP on your computer, Windows XP will load most of the drivers you need automatically.
For the drivers that are specific to your HP pavilion
you will be able to download device drivers from HP website
or, request a driver CD

When XP is installed [assuming you or someone can do that]
you can:
Go to the 'My Computer' icon [right-click]
Choose:
  • 'Properties'
  • Then Choose 'Hardware'
  • Finally, choose 'Device Manager'
Here you will have a list of all your hardware
If you have any drivers that need to be installed, there should be
a yellow (?) question mark by the name of the hardware

Most devices/hardware will be handled by XP SP2
The default drivers will be loaded automatically
For example, your keyboard:

e83fe6a.jpg

Above you see the window that opens if I double-click on
the 'Keyboard' icon.

For XP to function, you only have to worry about the ones
with the yellow (?) question mark

Or, if you want to add a specific driver, like a Video or Sound driver, but you don't see a yellow (?) question mark
you can still install/update the driver at the 'driver' tab
[second tab in the picture above]

If you need more specific help I can do that too
