Question about Dell Computers & Internet
We are using the same KVM model for our Dell servers and you are right, the lifespan of the KVM switch is more or less 2-3 years. I even have 1 that went bad (had a magenta display) a few days after the warranty and couldn't be fix. No available parts. And even if we can get the parts from other bad switches, we couldn't find schematic diagram.

It seems that PowerEdge 180AS has a life span of 2-3 years. I am a KVM tech before, and YES, most KVM switches started to show these kinds of problems, but not all.
Power problem, this is the common KVM problems (but for low-end KVMs only). The Power'Edge is a high-end KVM switch, and I think that they're using components that can easily becomes busted.
I would suggest to contact the manufacturer (though the KVM switches are out of the warranty period), and see if you can send the KVMs for repair. Unfortunately, you need to pay for the service.
Thank you and good luck!
