Question about Beverage-Air MT19 Refrigerator Commercial

1 Answer

My fridge was cold in the morning then warm by afternoon

I recently got a free MT19 beverage air I had to have it repaired when I got it because it was missing a part or two underneath that control it. once those things were replaced with a $30 dollar all in one part it worked fine although it was a bit on the noisy side. I thought the noise was the grate on the front rattling.( when I kicked it a little the noise stopped) it worked great for a few weeks then one afternoon there was condensation on all of my drinks and it was warm. I had gotten a cold drink out of it that morning so it was a pretty quick change. I am not sure if a wire came loose or what could cause that problem. there is one loose wire under there but there doesnt appear to be anyplace to hook it except back onto the part that it comes out of which doesn't make any sense

From your description, it sounds like the start component for the compressor was replaced with a generic 3 in 1 kit. No uncommon and the kits are pretty reliable. It could be that one of the wires from that kit came loose from the compressor. Make sure all 3 terminals on the compressor have wires connected and the fan next to it has 2 wires hooked up.

check it out.

Cspro ep 2030 minolta copying rough in the morning, but okay in the afternoon, solution please

Sounds like the warm up controls are not opperating properly. Or it is in a very cold environment. The "fuser" that provides the heat required to "glue" the toner to the paper may be defective, or the connections to it's controller or the controller is defective. Temporary solution may be to leave it "on" overnight to keep it as warm as it gets in the afternoon. Will take more electricity. But eventually it will need to be repaired, or replaced with a lightly used equivelent. It may be less costly than repair.

My wife posted the information below and I would like to add more to the story: We have two identical Amana Bottom Freezer Refrigerators, Model:BRD18V2S installed in our Kitchen. Both fridges are in an alcove and stand next to each other. One fridge is used as the beverage fridge and othe other is used as a food fridge. At about 10pm she noticed that an entire bottle (600ml) of Gin had cracked and emptied into the refrigerator section of the fridge used for beverages. We do not know how long the spilled gin was in the fridge. She mopped it up and we went to bed. At 7am the next morning, the beverage fridge and its freezer were showing 71 Degrees F. and everythind including the ice had melted. (We have aftermarket external temperature gages that show the fridge/freesor temperatures) The food fridge uninvolved with the gin spill was reading 68 Degrees F

GE TFX26KRDA WW 2001 side by side refrig/freezer w warm fridge

Cleaned the condenser coils which were dusty but not severely so. Checked the evaporator coils which were NOT iced. Reset the fridge to coldest setting and freezer to #5 (mid range of temperature) and waited a full 36 hours. Fridge temp is 40 F and freezer is about 0F. Not sure what is different except coldest setting on fridge. Warm weather is here but not warm enough to require AC. Temps in late afternoon in house about 77-80F. Any thoughts are appreciated because I suspect this problem is not completely resolved.

Maytag MBB1954GES not cold. Fresh food area warm, motor not on. Freezer OK.

Check the freezer fan is running with the door switch pushd in by hand, check the back wall of the freezer for frosting if it's frosty check the defrost system eg defrost element, Defrost termination stat and defrost timer. If the freezers running perfect check the fridge difuser/damper and see if it's open this is the part that opens and closes the vent between the freezer and fridge to allow cold air into the fridge. The Damper is up the top left corner of the fridge. cheers.

Fridgadaire beverage center too warm

It should get cooler than that at least down to 33-34 degrees. Be sure you have air flow behind the unit, not pushed against wall. Feel for cold air coming from freezer to lower part just behind light bulb. If it is not turning off and defrosting they will do this as ice builds up and results in no air movement. you may want to remove the cover in the back of freezer and see if it is froze up. Or just turn it off and defrost and start back over the next day. The defroster timer may also be bad and it is under cover beside the light bulb.

Beverage air cycling off/on

These units are not designed to run in temps much lower than 50 degrees. They have no winter controls and the freon pressures will take a nose dive when running in a cold ambient condition. The unit will not run well in a cold environment, compressor damage may result. :(

Candy CPCA250 GB Freezer feezing but fridge not cold

Hello jonnyclewlow
Welcome,

You said, you recently had a problem with my Candy fridge freezer (it defrosted overnight and wasnt cooling at all) and a repair shop diagnosed a thermostat problem. I have replaced the thermostat, Now the freezer freezes without any problems but the fridge does not go cold at all.
Also the compressor is running constantly

This is my first thought

Fresh Food temperature is
too warm. Freezer
temperature is satisfactory.

1. Fresh Food control is set too
warm.
2. Set fresh food control to a colder setting. Allow 24
hours for temperature to stabilize.

3.Then see if you do not have your freezer articles packed full up to the top, or covering the cold air vents usually found in the rear of the freezer compartment.

The fridge and the freezer share the cold air so the air must not be restricted from travel form the freezer to the fridge and back!
This would also cause the compressor to run none stop trying to cool the fridge!
So check your air vents in the freezer.
I'll bet you did not know they were there !
Most of us never notice!
Hope this works for you.
Please let me know that one of these solutions worked for you!
or if you have any questions.
Thank You, huuum
