The memory card may not be supported by your phone model. Oftened times there are limits like 1 gb up to 16 gb . If you have one too large your phone will act up. Try a different card and see if that helps : )

No music files found in my music player

First, you have to put some music files in memory card using a card reader or using data cable.
Then you need to update media library to see the music files. DO the following:
1. open music player 2. Select Option 3. Click Media Library 4. Again go to option and select Update Library
You will see all your music files in music player.

I installed a 8g memory card on my HTC. Moved my

You need to open Windows Media player and update the library. The included Music player on the tab screen uses this information as well. Your music is on a new card not recognized by the player until you update the library. I hope this helps.

Music Player

Connect the phone to a PC using Nokia PC Suite software or the memory card to a memory card reader.Browse to the location where the  media files are stored. Select all the songs by pressing "ctrl+A" and right click and take "Properties"In the Genetral tab, untick all the attrib value.then press " Apply " then "OK".

That's it.

and rename the folder which contain your media files to "My Music".Ignore this if it has been already done.

Your phone only support  polyphonic, MP3, AAC files.Make sure they are MP3 or ACC media files.

Start your phone with the memory card inside and update your music library list.

You will find your favorite music there.

Note :  Some mobile doesn't support very long media files name.

hi thanks for using fixya!

On this kind of error, you have to consult a Nokia Care Center to further check the internal error of your phone. You may format the memory card via pc or laptop. Good luck!
