Question about Acer AL1916W 19" LCD Monitor
I shut my computer down and the next morning, when I started it again, my monitor would not go on. There is a green light blinking on the lower right hand corner on what I thought was the power button. Any ideas? Do I need a new monitor? When I called Acer support "Raj" listened to my problem and then said "I think you have a problem with your monitor. Send it back to us."!
In order to isolate whether its the monitor or the compurter tower you can do a self test to check if the monitor is fine .Turn the computer off and then disconnect the cable for the monitor from the back panel of the computer tower. It will be a blue connector with screws on it .Undo the screws and then disconnect it then turn the computer on ,if the monitor is fine you should get a message that would say check input signal or you will have some kind of message on the screen that tells you that the data cable to the monitor is not connected. If u dont get any message that simply means that the monitor has gone bad and needs to be replaced...
hope this helps you .....all the best
