I got an error message, "stop: 0x00000024 (0x00190203, 0x833E4AB0, 0xC0000102, 0x00000000)" and can't do anything to get it to boot up in Windows. I even tried reinstalling Windows XP with no luck. Is it possible to restore my laptop without losing everything?

So many computer face this blue screen fetal errors on windows.

This error comes usually when there is problem in software or driver compatibility issue with hardware or operating system.
Also this error comes when there is bed indexing unit in hard drive.
You can solve this errors with following 2 methods.
(1)When you power up the computer press F8 key then enter in safe mode.
Then if you are able to enter in safe mode then uninstall driver or software which you installed recently and face this error.
(2)If you are not able to enter in safe mode Then you need to fix error on hard drive. For that you need windows disk or recovery disk.
Boot your computer with that disk
For that when you power up the computer press F1 or F2 "del" key to enter in bios.
Then go to boot menu and set first boot device as your cd or dvd rom.
Then save settings and exit bios.
Insert windows disk in cd /dvd rom.
Then it boot with that disk. Then you get this message "Press any key to boot from cd.."
Then press any key.
Then follow the procedure then enter in recovery console mode then type in prompt "chkdsk /r"
Then type "y"
Then it fix error on hard drive.
Then check if again you are not able to enter in windows then boot again and this time choose "R" option for repair previous windows " then it repairs old windows then it loads again old windows.
If with repair option you are till face same issue then delete all aprtition and create partition again then format 1 partition with FAT32 or NTFS then install fresh copy of windows try this 5 to 6 times then it works.
Let me know if you need further assistance.
Thanks for using FixYa.

It wouldn't run chkdisk so I used scandisk and it found "physical damage on drive A that it cannot correct. ScanDisk cannot repair damaged cluster 2 because other damage to drive A prevents it."

When I click okay, it says that "At least one area of drive A has sustained physical damage. Although such damage might be caused by an isolated incident such as a power failure, it is often a sign of impending hardware failure."

It says to back up my files but I get get into Windows to back up anything.

Computer won't boot stuck in Error RecoveryScreen won't go any further

You should be able to do a clean install of Windows. Just insert the installation disc and press any key when indicated. Optical drive needs to be the first boot option. Go into BIOS and change it is not.
As for disc, you have to use the same Windows version as indicated on the MS Product Key sticker, because of the serial number.

El1358g-51w loaded drivers so far and then stopped error message read i had to restart and it would load and did not

You will have to reboot into safe mode to remove those drivers from the device manager and then reboot and allow windows to find the drivers it wants and not the drivers you think are the right ones because sometimes a flaky driver will stop windows cold and lock it into a loop forever.
If you do not know how to boot into safe mode, when you turn on your computer, the moment you see anything on your monitor start rapidly pressing the F8 key until you get a boot screen that has a choice of booting into safe mode, then follow the directions and when you finally get into windows go to the device manager, (in most windows will either be accessible from the control panel or from the control panel then clicking on system>then hardware tab>then device manager button.
Good luck!

The error message says fatal system error.

Hi. The STOP 0xC000021A error occurs when either Winlogon.exe or Csrss.exe fails. When the Windows NT kernel detects that either of these processes has stopped, it stops the system and raises the STOP 0xC000021A error. This error may have several causes. Among them are the following:
  • Mismatched system files have been installed.
  • A Service Pack installation has failed.
  • A backup program that is used to restore a hard disk did not correctly restore files that may have been in use.
  • An incompatible third-party program has been installed.
Booting the computer to its Last known good configuration will resolved the issue. Please see procedure below:

Turn of the computer
Keep on tapping F8 key the moment you press the power button
You should be getting a advanced boot screen
Select Last known good configuration from the selections then hit enter
Computer should be booting up by now to windows

All the best!

I can't start my computer. Message "start your computer in safe mode"appears on the screen and than screen goes black and after few seconds the previous message appears on the screen. It's like a vicious...

Assuming Win-XP? ... When the computer is booting up (before windoes graphics) keep on tapping the F8 key to boot into safe mode. You should then be able to identify what is stopping Windows from booting properly.

- Have you just installed any software / drivers?
- Check the error logs and device manager to see if anything is wrong

Good Luck

Won't boot

Here is the cause, and I think you will have to re-install the operating system. Not knowing your machine model number, I have no idea if the operating system recovery is imbedded in the hard drive or not.
http://www.geekswhoknow.com/articles/stop-0x00000024-0x0000024-0x24-ntfs-file-sys-error-code.htm

If you receive a blue Dell line across the top of the screen during power up, press F11 to see if you can get into the recovery mode. If so, just follow the instructions.

Bad Pool Caller message??

BAD_POOL_CALLER is a stop error message that is caused because of problems with the memory management.

There is a list of more than thirty such causes that can give you this error message. If the stop error is consistent every time the system is rebooted, the following method will be effective in solving the problem:
* The hardware and RAM should be checked initially.
* Boot the system once again using the OS setup CD, or use a boot setup that has a GUI like BartPE.
* With RunScanner it is possible to use a memory test tool.
* Select a single account
* If all the accounts open then the system registry hive might be the problem.
* Locate the hive damaged and rename it, do not delete it.
* Create another hive from the backup or from the restore point.
* Initially uses the latest one and keep checking the restore points that come later.
* Avoiding harvesting any replacement hives from the hard drive booted Windows.
* After which compare the hives for differences.

This is one of the ways of fixing BAD_POOL_CALLER errors. Another method is to reinstall the OS but occasionally shows a disk read error or an error on the same lines. Switching the computer off for a minute or more and then switching it on can solve it since the error is only a slight glitch in the system operation.
The BAD_POOL_CALLER is seen for the first time after installing a hardware or software it is recommended that the computer be restarted. If it doesn’t solve the problem, the installation of the hardware or software should be checked for corrections. If the problem persists the installed hardware and software should be disabled, and the BIOS memory options like caching or shadowing should be disabled too.
The safe mode can be used as well to remove or stop components.
To enable the safe mode just press F8 when the machine is being restarted and select it from the Advance Startup options and correct the problem. The installation of the graphics card is another reason the BAD_POOL_CALLER error shows up. A simple reinstallation of the driver can solve the problem.
Microsoft has also acknowledged that the BAD_POOL_CALLER Stop 0xC2 error pops up when trying to print a document that contains a corrupt font.

Blue screen with error message on startup

Most likely problem is a physical problem with the hard drive, but could be plenty of other things. Best bet is to back up your information (if possible) and do a fresh windows install, if you continue to get the message after a clean windows install, your hard drive is not stable, and has a problem.
