My tv is only 2 years old. Its a flat screen 42'' hp model. While watching last night, the was a small pop, (best way to describe it) and then the picture wasnt clear anymore. It has a black edge and the color is very dim.

Not really a solution, sorry, but I've got the very same problem. I haven't noticed the time before tv faults, but nontheless, it greenscreens or like in your case, redscreens as well. I've been told to open the back, which I did to check the status of the capicitors, which I've done. But, the capacitors "seem" fine. No bulging or popped tops. So, I'm at a stand still...not sure what to do at this point. If someone gives you solution, I sure would appreciate your forwarding it on to me. Thanks. Robert
what you describe is almost impossible ..the only explaining is someone with a compatible remote control messing around with you ..so ...pay attention ..and after that if you are completely sure that this is out of case...Leave a comment and I will search for another possible cause ..
I am not anyhow associated with this seller. Picked it because the sale gives both inverters for the price for which others are selling one of them...or at least it seems so. You may want to talk to the seller first.
Hope this helps. If it does do not forget to rate it :-)
The x-sus or y-sus panel wil be the fault.Check the fuses on these panels ,if one of the fuses is open then that panel must be replaced. Not verry cheap to replace.
Does anyone know where can I buy a screen for a 27" LCD Insignia TV. Model is NS-27LCD? My screen creaked. I checked out e-bay and have not found a broken TV with a good screen. Does anyone know where I can buy a screen at. Thank you all for you time. JC
