Hello,

If you know that the charger is actually working and supplying the correct voltage. Then the age of the unit would suggest that the battery is exhausted and it would be cheaper to replace the whole unit.

Hope this was a help.

Are those new wireless stick vacuums worth buying? I love the idea but, it seems power must be limited or weak without enough suction.

I retired from fixing battery powered cleaning equipment a few years ago. The problem with wireless is that the batteries don't hold up. They will work fine for a few weeks- then they start to run out of juice after only a few min. On most rechargeables if you don't run them down completely, they only charge to the point you last put it on the charger (It's called battery memory). I personally think the rechargeables are a waist of money, and, when the batteries start to go- are frustrating. Just get an upright, with a side hose. I've got two at home that are over 20 years old. I only had to change the beater bar brush and belt twice in that time. No more than $150 bucks should be your price point for a vacuum used at your own home.

Do you keep the Dyson DC44 plugged into charger all the time?

I don't keep mine plugged in, but that's because I haven't mounted the charger on the wall. I think rechargeable batteries are smart enough nowadays to allow for an appliance to be constantly plugged in.

I have got a floor scrubber but it's not charging at all

Multiple batterys in unit? Bad connections or one or more batterys are bad. You may be lucky enough to find the water level is low in one or more of them, if thats the case...fill them, and try to plug in and recharge.Fingers crossed.

My Electrolux Rapido wet&dry won't start. The battery is empty and the blue light flashes when I plug in the charger.

this sounds totally silly but is the power button on the vacuum actually off? Had the same problem, where the battery was completely empty i didn't know my son had switched the vacuum on put it on charge and the light was flashing. I took it off the charging stand pressed the power button then put it back....now charging perfectly. Anyone who doesnt have this appliance will think you sound stupid but its just a clicky button so visually the button looks the same on or off.

Assuming that you've tried a different electrical outlet, it may have a defective charger or a totally dead rechargeable battery.

I get a blinking yellow light when recharging my IRobot Roomba 550. What's wrong?

I am afraid you are having the problem of old or weak batteries. Old batteries at times tend to show such problems and do not show charge while charging properly. For this purpose, you can use a reliable Nicad Battery Repair Guide through which you can recharge the batteries without any problem and make them work like the new ones within no time, without anyone's help and you can do this all by sitting at home! I tried it and now I never buy new nicad batteries (http://www.nicadbatteryrepair.com/).

Model4210battry won't recharge, is it worth ordering a battery?

don't buy a new battery yet. you can reset the battery by charging for 16 hours, if this does not work, you need to take the battery out, push and hold the power button on your roomba for at least 15 seconds then reinstall the battery. plug in the charger directly to roomba not the docking station and charge until the battery light on the roomba is green. do not interrupt the battery charging cycle. after, leave the roomba charging for an additional 3 days or 72 hours. after, run roomba in max mode and run it till the battery is completely depleted. this will improve the battery overtime by charging again for 72 hours and depleting the battery. do this 3 or 4 times. and the battery should get better
